Im so lucky! I got this Yo-kai on my first try today!
just got him first try and the blue wisp was a tengu fan!! awesome
I literally just got Flengu right now! And it was the first try. The Yo-kai I used were Bloominoko, Pinkipoo and Komane in front. The Yo-kai in the back were Komiger, Goldenyan and Everfore. I gave Flengu a Baguette and finished it off with Komiger's Soultimate.

Believe it or not, I actually found Bruff in that same boat. You can return to the boat at a later time and maybe have a chance of finding him.

I just upgraded my yo-Kai watch to rank S and stoked up on candy apples and went and fought flengu without a shmopy team and I popped the big wisp with 3 harts and got him first try I was sooo exited when I did because he is my first rare yo-Kai and he is my most powerful one as well

I know it's been years since this issue of Yokai Watch Rare Yokai Hunt was recorded, but I'm only playing this game now. I got Flengu on my 19th attempt with candy apple and golden wisp(hearts). No Shmoopie only one Casanuva.

I envy your astounding ammount of patience with rare Yo-Kai. None of which I have... Anyway, speaking of the localization of Yo-Kai Watch 2, Not sure if you knew but there's actually one Yo-Kai that got physically altered for some bizarre reason. You know the Nosirs? One of those guys, specifically the one with the nose hair sticking out of his nose, has been changed. In the localized version, they changed the nose hair to a snot drip instead. I've got no clue why, but yeah. That happened. I guess the U.S. just has something against long nose hair...

ehm shiny hunting is definitely harder than this. You can get a rare yokai in an hour but if you want a shiny you have to hunt for at least a week or longer (actually depends on the method but I'm talking about full-odds hunting lol).
i was just playing yokai watch 1 today and i decided to try this yokai, I used casanuva, i got three hearts from a golden whisp, and i gave him candy apples..... First try I got him OMGGGGG!!!!

i got flengu on my 2nd try because i had popularity, candy apply, and an orange wisp with hearts came out. he is the 2nd strongest in my party. jibanyan is my strongest yokai.

Flengu's favorite food is Candy. I didn't get him on my 1st try. When I got an S-rank, Flengu was in the trees. And I feeded him his favorite food. And I was like, YES!!!! I GOT FLENGU!!!!!!!
While I was watching this video I got a Flengu on the first try using a 96 Shmoopie and All of the Jewel-Nyans that are all level 37.
It took me an hour to get flengu and it was worth it
