The best way is to use filtered water or store bought that one can use your own containers. That cuts down on the cleaning. Ours stopped so were looking

Hi there, congrats on your new purchase. I can't go back to regular fridge ice now haha I usually fill my water tank up every single night and I still have a basket of ice in the morning like 7 hours later. Its very well insulated from my experience :)
