- My Ford F150 was throwing a code! B1404-13 Driver side airbag deployment control. I found broken wires under the seat and that fixed my issue.

2019 F150 114K miles Same code and same place. Seems the wires are pulled extremely tight and when the seat is adjusted the wires have a pivot where the break is. Thanks so much!

Thanks. The wire in my side is broken in same place. I think it's either seat is sagging and/ I had recently moved seat all the way back and up and down. Behind seat I also had a beach chair stored. Though because it's front connector wire is broken. Ma think more likely from moving seat through fully forward to all way up and down it may be just crappy wiring that just snapped off when seat was moved vs stowed items bumping into it. ??? My scanner said open circuit but did not pinpoint seat. So thank you for saving me a ton of time.
Mine 2019 F150xlt crew cab.
Mine had the same break in the wire. I fixed it but still have the airbag light on. Hoping it didn't mess up the RCM for me.
Ended up being a shorting bar in the connector that was causing my problem. I removed the bar. Hard to explain
