Bare Ground To Salad Bar In 8 Weeks

With a no till drill, the bale grazing/sacrifice paddock goes from bare ground to a super salad bar in 8 weeks. They left here June 2, went through the first lap of their migration through our pasture, and came back to this by the end of July. We've been doing managed, intensive grazing for 12 years and soil health has increased dramatically. You can do this too.

Hello I have a question for you. Are the steers you purchase anything special or are they crosses with dairy?

When we get them they are weaned, beef calves around 500 lbs.

Hi, my question is I have 4 acres and full of weeds. Can I seed the the acre and let the cows push the seeds in for the fall and winter?

yes, great plan consider rolling out the hay for them to spread their impact. There's a small danger of continuing to germinate the weeds if you stay in that one spot all winter because of increased compaction.
