That’s an INSANE play by Longo. Wow. D-Backs actually had a lot of calls NOT go their way. That’s a strike to Yelich. It was a strike all night until that moment
Brooks would have been proud of those plays! It goes to show that any of those nine guys with the leather can turn a game on a dime. The Brewers better use their dime to call for life support as they face Gallon today without either of their two aces.

Been a long wait for the Diamondbacks to have a post season win. Great day for Diamondbacks fans. We win without our best on the mound, and now have our Ace ready to throw.
It’s been 16 years since they last won a playoff series, they could most certainly break that streak against this Milwaukee team. Minnesota just won their first playoff game in 19 years so anything is very much possible.
I'm a Dodger fan who grew up with Vin, but even saying that, I'll always be "jealous" that Brewer fans got to hear Uecker for so long. Respect to a living legend.

I’m a Braves fan but the Diamondbacks are my 3rd favorite team behind the Yankees at 2nd, also in part because I was born in Phoenix. This is the first time since I started following sports in 2003 that I’ve seen both the Braves and Diamondbacks in the playoffs at the same time, which I think would make a pretty interesting NLCS if they crossed paths.
Sounds like 2001 was basically the dream scenario for your favorite teams, too bad you just barely missed it.

This was an awesome game! The brewers had so many chances... ill never understand burning your closer when hes not needed jist to have him cough uo 2 runs in an unfamiliar situation, but then again... ill never understand stealing with kess than two outs with two on with less than a 1 run lead in the 9th only to get thrown out at third?

As a Brewers fan...the number of wasted chances hurt my soul. Bases loaded no outs and nothing to show for it. Pathetic. 2 horrendous base running mistakes that turned into double plays. Hats off to Longoria for 2 great plays that no doubt saved the game for the Dbacks.

Burnes is usually amazing...I'm super disappointed, of all the great games he's had all year, he picks the biggest game of the year to lay an egg. With Woodruff out I fear the Brewers are going to exit early. We finally have an incredible 3 man rotation and a healthy bullpen and we lose our #2 starter 2 days before the playoffs. I know our offense is sub-par...but was hoping we could at least showcase our pitching and make an impression deep in the playoffs.

The Diamondbacks are insane. Playing the White Sox, they won 15-4 from being down 0-3, and then the same thing happend here. They won 6-3 from being down 0-3. When I was watching this live, I thought the intire time before the BACK TO BACK homers from Carrol and Marte that the Diamondbacks were gonna lose. And also it was the 2nd Carrol Marte back to back homers in the season, including the regular and post.
I think this team is better than the 2017 squad that last made it in. Not quite as talented but they have more chemistry than that team and a lot more scrappy. They’ll most certainly give the Dodgers a run for their money
Counsell brings in his closer and best Reliever, Devin Williams, to pitch the 9th inning even though the Brewers were trailing. Williams had a terrible inning walking 3 and allowing 2 runs, but more importantly he threw 31 pitches, and I doubt he is available for tomorrow's game. There's nothing to accomplish by bringing in your closer when trailing. If you want to keep the deficit at one run, you will have to have confidence in a different Reliever. Because isn't it more important to have your closer available for game 2? Of course it is. Even if Williams pitches a scoreless inning, there's no guarantee the Brewers comeback anyways. Counsell took a huge risk, and now he has used up his closer... for nothing. Bad managing in my opinion. P.S. I'm not a fan of either team.
But of course, Counsell's move is not even close to being as bad as Cubs manager Joe Maddon in the 2016 World Series when he kept Aroldis Chapman in the game to the start the 9th inning in game 6 with the Cubs leading 9-2 at the time, and knowing game 7 was the next day. Joe Maddon... aka... Joe Madman. Lol 😆

Milwaukee has one of the best home camera angles and ESPN decides to use an extremely offset camera for a horrible viewing experience. Can't see any pitch movement when you're basically watching the game from the short stop position. MLB NEEDS TO REGULATE THE BROADCAST ANGLE.
It was funny hearing Counsell say the Brewers were hitting well in that interview during the last of the fifth and that they were going to break through. They never scored again after the second inning. Burns had to come out early after getting hurt and serving up three bombs, and Woodruff is already out. Stick a fork in the Brewers.
