An all-time classic. Have watched it several times, and will watch it several more. Always loved the west. From Ireland.

It’s a great movie. One of my favorite. I can’t tell how many times I’ve watched it but I can watch it without reading any of the CC in Sioux

Beautifully portrayed with a clear narration of the story, enjoyed the movie as well as the meaningful video clips of Dance with Wolves. Thank you so much for the in-depth story behind the screen.
The natives of Nepal's high Himalayas look like native American Indians also. From Nepal the land of the world's highest mountains.

You Tube is rife with this kind of documentary gloss, a kind of click bate, promising ever more information than it delivers. In this case the formulaic question and answer pattern in the narration is actually run on without pause by the reader. Turn off the sound and dig the pictures.

I remember that Dances with wolves was a big movie back on the Rez because it actually had Native Americans in it lol (other than that, I don't think the story line really hit home with us though because of the Hollywood romance and hero American soldier with a dog fetish who saves the day all the time haha).

Y'all need to shorten the narrative. Repeating the same thing over & over is Freudian.

cool vid but, unfortunately, 'DANCES WITH WOLVES' as great as it is also about as historically accurate as 'STAR WARS'. i understand KOSTNER was really keen to make it appear as if the native americans were noble saints while the white settlers and soldiers were all monsters but anybody who has studied the period objectively and realistically would know that as awful as white people often were the native americans were far from being saints and that, in fact, the sioux had spent the past few hundred years before european arrival driving their enemies off their land not at all unlike what white settlers would later do to them and by means every bit as vicious, selfish and cruel.
and yeah modern descendents of the pawnee had every right to be upset about the way the pawnee are portrayed as vicious savages while the sioux are again portrayed as noble and benevolent when in fact it was usually the sioux who were the aggressors and the pawnee had suffered greatly under their pre european arrival reign of terror.

Yes but it’s based on lies makes natives as way more tame than they really were they had slaves and brutality killed other tribes and stole from each other and fought over land and game and it was common for them to torture captives and the ending of the brave crying at the end is just bull

Great movie, shame about the narrative, which is repetitive and bland.

What You Never Realized? How condescending a statement! This video praises the film-which it deserves-but does little else. Its title is manipulative and click bait.

What is it with these AI-Movies and constant repetitions? "played by Kevin Costner" - hope you get extra-money for each repetition!?

I am so sick of every fairly ordinary movie being called a "cultural milestone" or every scene being called "one of the great moments in cinema". Worshipping movies and pretending they are all that important is really, really sick.

Yea, I mean it only won best picture and best director over Goodfellas and it's only ranked in the top 100 of the greatest films ever made by AFI. Nothing special. Youre clueless.
