Which is funny, because those who are younger than Teen seem much better at handling the sight of half (or fully) naked female bodies than Teenagers do. To younger kids, its just a person's body. But, to PARENTS....

I love how when anything dies in this series it just explodes like a billion times. It's wonderful.
I like how Risky doesn't say any of these things in the game

I'll admit that this series does have alot of fan service in it. But honestly, as long as it isn't really getting in the way of the actual story and gameplay, I really don't care. I actually welcome it XD. They've already did a great job of it so far with Shantae's character and they even gave Risky a bit of backstory in this game. Keep doing your thing Wayforward. You guys rock!

I love this game. It took me 8 hours but I had fun every single minute. I love the characters full of personality and charisma.
When I saw that outfit from the desert level I almost had a heart attack.
A heart attack? Nah, I got a "ding dong attack."

I can't wait to play this game! I love the idea that Shantae has to take lessons from Risky after all the trouble she put her into over the years. I can't imagine how witty the dialogs will get. I agree with some comments that the drawings, while spectacular, are a bit too "fanservicy" for me. I love that you guys are trying so many different styles for the illustrations and an entire new style for Half Genie. You're really working hard on this franchise, it's amazing!

Risky and Shantae are so cute working together, I think. Risky, you could totally be a good guy! Don't give up so easily.
Those dialog exchanges shown in this video aren't in the actual game. Disappointing, cause they're pretty funny.
But don't quite fit within the context of the game itself
I kind of like this because I can see more character interactions after I beat the game. Also, the character trailers kind of feel like the characters goofing around back stage.

i'm still steamed that Shantae's sprite and cutscene portrait couldn't have the cute pirate garb on all the time.
Squall Lee Risky wouldn't allow it. She didn't take kindly to Shantae rummaging around in her clothes.
Yet, if you notice the sprite sheets, whenever she is using any of the pirate abilities, she has the pirate garb on again.
There's nothing inherently wrong with fan-service so long as it's done tastefully, and doesn't impede the actual storyline. In a game like Shantae, where the world's physics are inherently nonsensical, one can reasonably work a little fan-service in without it being too jarring.
That darn Risky~!

I've always pictured Risky Boots being voiced by Cree Summers. I'm not really sure why, but I just see Risky and think of her. I am physically incapable of not hearing Cree's voice in my head now...
Personally, I'd prefer Laura Bailey using her Cloud of Darkness voice. Maybe? 😃
L33TRedNinja As much as I adore Laura Bailey, I can't quite see it. See, Risky's personality and the way she looks and acts give her this playfully evil sort of vibe for me. When it comes to playfully antagonistic people, Cree Summers does the role absolute justice. For reference, Medusa from Kid Icarus Uprising, or Numbuh 5's big sister, aptly named, Cree. They're bad, but they're a silly bad.
When Laura Bailey does bad characters, for instance Cloud of Darkness or Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist, it comes off a a very dark, very menacing bad, which I feel doesn't quite fit Risky's character or her world.

Are these quotes from all the characters spotlights were betas, or exclusive to the Wii U version? Cause I don't remember any of those line the 3DS version
I assume WayForward made them just for the trailers, because none of those lines or situations match up with the actual game footage.

If game would suck... No amount of fan service would safe that.
Tell that bayonetta, or dragon's crown. Who a game is marketed for should have an impact on the difficulty of the game not just the style

There is no place were you swim in the game my guess is that you were supposed to swim with the costume at one stage but it was scrapped right after the trailers came out

ryarod I agree with you. The relationship between those two is more like rivals than anything else. Risky is kinda like the vegita/shadow/ Bowser of the group. That person that can't bring themselves to admit that they are now one of the good guys.
