I would allow eyepatches, the pirates used them to see better inside the ship's warehouse, the eye was better adapted to the lack of light and they saw better, they move their patches from side to side depending on the situation so I dont think their the opposite of glasses since they helped them to see better in dark places Sorry if is write badly I'm not an english speaker
That was one historical usage, but not the only reason. It was often used due to untreated eye issues or lazy eye, the pirates just adapted it due to their own usage. So Beidou would make sense in this case, but maybe not Kaeya since he started using it after his eye was allegedly "injured"

eye patches are normally used when your eye is loosing sight/has lost sight as a way to help the other one see properly, so yeah i’d say that they do help sight lol

i think all eyewear, including eyepatches, should be okay. I personally tnik itll just make the challange a bit more enjoyable to play and to watch, because of the slight flexibility of teams. (if you include all eyewear, you can make a really broken team with chev + benny/fischl/ beidou/ mavuika/ dori, which I, personally, would really love to see)

I definitely think you should use Kaeya even tho he doesn’t have glasses. Maybe it’s pushing the challenge too hard but maybe using characters with eyeware would be easier.
Eye patches also gives you access to Fischl. At that point you've got a pretty solid set of characters if you can get them. Fischl, Bennet, Sucrose. That's three of the best 4 stars in the game.
FINALLY someone made a challenge about my favorite stereotype, i good that you started before Emilie banner cause without burning she’s still a better Dendro traveler at worst, also i never counted Dori as glasses character since they look like impractical shades.

I gotta say, with the goggles thing but no eyepatches, "glasses" for this challenge can be defined as "an object one can wear on one's face in order to see through its lens (or equivalent)". You can't see through an eyepatch necessarily, and this would also exclude things like bandanas wrapped around your eyes (looking at you, Jingliu, despite being in HSR lol). Cuz even if you can see "through" them, you're actually looking PAST the individual threads of the fabric, not THROUGH the individual threads of the fabric. On the positive side, this would definitely include Charlotte's monocle! Things may get sketchy if the character has a fake pair of glasses, so that there's no actual lens or anything to look through... 🤔
I think this challenge should allow all eyewear. This way, you actually have two decent team archetypes that will actually work great on this account: An emilie, amber, bennett and sucrose burn team / A dps dori(c6), xianyun, baizhu and beidou aggrevate plunge team
I am using Xianyun, Emilie, Charlotte and Sucrose... Yes, meganekko for life!!! I sometimes consider Navia and possibly Mavuika as possible glasses character... And I am surprised about Amber but yes, googles were eyeglass adjacent eyewear so yeah...
I would disallow eyepatches mostly just to keep it a challenge run: Sucrose + Fischl is an EXTREMELY strong combination that can carry you through basically anything short of Abyss 12 before you even start thinking about the rest of your team. Then again you also won't be at end game for a long time and I'm pretty sure Fischl and Sucrose only synergize that well with Fischl's second ascension talent. Plus, Fischl and Sucrose are both great . . .
If Mavuika, the pyro archon, wears those tinted glasses like she does in her idle or attack animations, would this make Mavuika acceptable? They do seem to be present in the latest trailer for Natlan when she faces off against Capitano.
I play Genshin just for the glasses girls, but I prefer the real clear glasses so I have sucrose, Xianyun and Émilie in the same team, I am a glasses addict x)
Pls if you manage to get Dori, use her ^^ I'm a Dori main DPS player and she is fun (well you need her C6 to build her as a DPS) BUT she is very strong at C0 for healing, apply electro for dendro team and recharge your energy. I didn't think of that but I don't think it will count. I feel like that one is pushing a little too much. I still get one of the standard 5 stars they just won't be used probably
