Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 - April 21, 1910), known by his pen name Mark Twain, was an American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer. He was lauded as the "greatest humorist [the United States] has produced", and William Faulkner called him "the father of American literature". His novels include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), the latter often called "The Great American Novel".

I disagree with the very first quote. Have you ever tried to change a bogus commonly held belief (if only in the minds of people that you know, since to actually change something requires special circumstances that most people don’t have)? You get dumped on, ridiculed, called an idiot, called a conspiracy theorists, etc. The will to change something is relative to your circumstances, “Great People” in history who change things are not just will alone but they are also in favorable positions or have unique articulation skills. Place an influential historical figure in a different situation and they would be powerless. In fact there have been many people in history who weren’t in a position to change things who did possess the skillset & will to change things had they been in the right situation. So basically it comes down to this…have the will to try your best to change things, but also understand the concept of The Serenity Prayer.
