I was just thinking that this piece looks exactly like those beautiful detailed Asian scenes that we see. I am definitely going to do this….I am so hyped up right now. It is 12:32am my time and I can’t wait ‘til the sun comes up.
Thanks so much for sharing and thank you for one more inspiration. Bless you ladies.
This is amazing! I have three tall storage cabinets (6 doors) that would be perfect with these stamps! They are going in the new library I am creating. Love the technique so much. I'm itching for warm weather so I can do this outside in my garage.
Oooo yes! 😍 We can't wait for the warmer weather! You will have to share your creations with us once you are finished! 😊

@@IronOrchidDesigns You're very welcome! :)
Avsome!
Thank you! ❤️
So is this chalk paint or just acrylic paint that you use for the base?
Yes. Has an Asian feel to it.
The blue color is a mineral or commonly referred to as chalk style paint :) the gold is “liquid leaf “ and there are several brands you can find it at most craft or diy stores
Hello girls can’t wait to watch all ur videos. Marinda IL
Awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting, Marinda.
where do i get the rubber trial ? love this look
We can't say anything yet about the trowel we're using in this video... but we will be able to share more soon ❤️🥰
Really really want to try this but don’t know what “stinky gold paint is” ! Pleaszzzzz tell… ink , what is it ? Gorgeous ! Want to try black w/ silver … can’t wait, thank you .
Hello Eloise! I will leave a link for a stinky gold paint LOL you can also get this at your local hobby lobby or Jo-Ann, OR you can also check in with your stockist, as they might have something as well!

I LOVE this look. To be clear, was the blue finish under the gold that you started with just a chalk paint?
Yes, just a chalk-type paint.
I almost bought a letterpress years ago too. I even bought a few fonts blocks and then never got the letterpress.
Oh, wow!
I’ll try again- my first attempt was an epic failure.
Ours often are too. Don't give up!!💕
Hi what kind of sealer did you use?
How did you keep the paint from drying at the other end while you were working your way up with the letters? I would think you would not want to mist it.
We worked from the edges into the center and didn't mind if the impression was variable because of drying. You can check out this blog post for more details: ironorchiddesigns.com/diy/industrial-chic/ Thanks for watchin!
Just wondering if you carry tropical plant molds, or geometric molds? I just discovered that I’m an industrial, eclectic, modern person, at my good age now, lol.
No tropical plan moulds, but I'll share that idea with our creative team. The new Frames mould is very geometric. We LOVE that you are rediscovering yourself and bet that it will happen again 😉😉💗💗
Where do you ladies get your trowel, I found some on Amazon and the edges are rough, thank so much
We can't say anything yet about the trowel we're using in this video... but we will be able to share more soon ❤️🥰
Love it! Can you tell us what the stinky gold paint is?
Liquid Leaf :)
Can you use like a metallic paint thinned down instead of gold leaf?
We haven't done that for this project, but we would absolutely encourage you to try! It may change the look a bit, but I imagine it could have a very nice look!
What are some other colors you would suggest to try
We actually tend to mix our colors together to create custom ones 🙈
I have been wanting to do the troweled stamp on my kitchen backsplash but was concerned about the paint sliding down the wall. Problem or not?
You would want to do it with a joint compound, like we do in this video with the brick roller (just lay the compound on smoothly and use a stamp instead): czcams.com/video/Lr0W4H2Ahu0/video.html Here's another great textured wall video with IOD stamps that you might find helpful: czcams.com/video/XhygGmRoHFQ/video.html
@@IronOrchidDesigns Thank you! So glad I discovered your products and then YOU!
I would do this on a side table top and then seal it with resin to protect it.
Love that!!!
What is the ganache looking material
Hi Suzy, I'm not sure if this answers your question... The blue color is a mineral-based chalk paint and the gold is “liquid leaf." Or were you referring to something else in the video? ❤️
What kind of paint was the gold?
It's called liquid leaf :)
Hi love it what kind of paint is the undercoating and I use that gold gilding all the time?
We used mineral-based chalk paint, and the gold is called liquid leaf 😊
@@IronOrchidDesigns thank you
What is the brand name of the stinky gold paint 😉?
Me too ! Don’t know where to find it. Can’t be chalk, too shiny… ink maybe??
What's the name of this gold paint?
Liquid leaf :)
Is there a template for the arrangement of the gallery wall?
We don't have a template, but you're sure to find lots of inspiration for a gallery wall on Pinterest if you were to do a quick search! ❤️
In this blog post you can find a template for cuts from one piece of plywood: ironorchiddesigns.com/diy/how-to-diy-your-own-iod-gallery-wall-from-one-sheet-of-plywood/ . We will have an upcoming series using our Wood Blanks for a gallery wall as well!
I think you said this is chalk paint (5:20), correct?
It is a chalk type paint yes . Mineral based :)
Actually I’m referring to the blue paint. The gold paint is called liquid leaf :)
Thank you for reminding us to wear masks and have ventilation. It’s really cool looking.
Absolutely! Especially with paints like the one in the video.
@@IronOrchidDesigns what type of gold paint did you use? I’ve not heard of sticky paint before. Do you have an affiliate link?
