As a tamilian who has always wondered how Malayalam movies have such brilliant realistic female leads, I am appalled to see how on the contrary the television industry in malayalam is so openly regressive..
the society is almost changing,see the views of some feminist heroines like parvathy.but this society cant be fully changed until these kinda people are dead.
The culture of Kerala is extremely hypocritical. They’re also very ill-mannered people, especially teachers and instructors. Malayalee parents usually never let their daughters wear a sleeveless top, but they eagerly look forward to the raunchy dance numbers in films. They also are horrible at keeping pets like dogs and birds. The average Malayalee pet dog develops extreme aggression due to lack of affection and proper treatment by their owners. And newspapers love to portray dogs as rabid, vicious animals that will tear up even little kids on a whim. I am an NRI Malayalee and I am someone who isn’t too patriotic or bigoted either towards my culture. However, there are a lot of bad things in Kerala culture that needs to be changed.

But the true hypocrisy in the culture is terrible which is why I don’t like it there. People are learning how to take better care of pets nowadays but that’s mostly the younger generation. I regret not knowing dogs BECOME aggressive because of how they’re treated because ever since I was young I was told that only a few aren’t aggressive. I think india overall has this culture , even worse in some parts for sure . Like I said, when I interacted with younger people I could see the change! But the middle aged and older generation is absolutely beyond repair. So obsessed with unnecessary things. The men also have such fragile egos, the cops never take us seriously if there’s an issue, moral policing adults in a relationship by blackmailing them to tell their homophobic/casteist families. Like, the culture has to change. Probably in 50 years, it would be transformed greatly but even then there would be people with the same mindset because of shit their parents taught them

I am 22 years old now and haven't touched make since I guess I was 16....I don't think we need make up to look pretty and all....
