Drawing with Peter: A Good Amount of Lines in a Decent Amount of Time (Fountain Pen Doodling)

  • Today it's time to just relax and draw with a fountain pen and ink. There's no pressure or goal, I just want to put lines on the paper and see what can happen. It's like watching some kind of unmitigated mold grown beneath the tip of my pen as it all flowers outwards in unpredictable, but pleasing patterns.
Get out your sketchbook if you want to, and join me, or carry on with whatever you were doing before. The camera is kind of shaky at the beginning of the video, but I fix it pretty quick. I apologize for the tapping at my window. 'Tis the rain, and nothing more.

Really enjoying these hangouts whether I'm drawing or doing other stuff. The doodling especially is teaching me to be more relaxed about my art. I didn't realize that I was bringing a hectic energy to it by always feeling that I was short on time and should be doing something else. I'm starting my doodles on post-it notes and as of now have two post-its that positively leap off the wall with energy. One of the big things I love about what you do is that you add The Dark in everywhere you can and that brings the whole design together so well. Thanks for hanging out with us. :)

As soon as I stopped eating animal products the curse went away. I know it might seem like a big life adjustment for body temperature regulation but there’s countless other benefits I’ve felt and literally seen in my blood work since I stopped 5 years ago.

Heehe yea It's funny he thinks it's just a "fidget toy" to play with. Tho I know it's likely meant to actually count things. I think the only time I've seen one used was in a nature documentary where this team was tracking/documenting the health of a sea turtle population. 🐢 they'd go out onto the beach at night and after every turtle came up to lay it's eggs 🥚 in the sand, they'd count how many eggs each turtle had laid and the main guy had one of those things and would click it for each egg. Great way to count items in the dark like that and how to be quick about it. Mmhmm.

When I was younger, there was a time we went through a rough spot. Our lights where cut off. My mom was on a business trip and my sisters where at their friends for the week to collaborate on a project so I wanted to flip this miserable time around.
It was in October almost near Halloween. I had candle light and some books. I returned them in because I was bored with them. I asked my teacher what I could read in the dark.... He told me something similar happened to him, he went through a rough patch. Books where his outlet. He wrote down a list of books he read at that time. I went to the library and checked them out. Edgar Allan Poe was in the mix.
    I couldn't sleep 😆🙈
Luckily I didn't have school the next day. When I got back to school I gave my teacher the most slinder stare I could muster up. He died laughing.

I got my undergrad in Nutrition from Oregon State University. I have heard your grocery confession and I am here to say that you're totally good and fine. No sins detected. :) I always buy fun things on grocery day, that is healthy. Eating "perfect" isn't normal or healthy, that's just from magazine dieting and purity/tough love cultures. If buying packaged salad makes you eat more salad then buy it! It's ok to eat packaged meals sometimes, even frequently, you'll be ok, sometimes they can get you to eat more veggies too :). It's nice to reduce packaging where we can but not if it means eating less vegetables. Cooking every meal yourself in the most optimally healthy way doesn't work for most people. I know people with horrible diets and they're getting quite old. They complain a lot but they're still alive eating horribly, and I guarantee you eat better then they do lol. You'll be fine, promise.
Don't worry, I didn't watch you draw, much. I worked on the layout for my supplies book. I designed and printed a stencil to make fast swatch pages and I'll have all my inks and pens and pencils and watercolors all organized in one book so I can flip through it and decide color and nib and I'll have a page for brushes. It'll be lovely. ^__^ Once I get through the slog of organizing and laying everything out D:
As for your evening pantslessness, our hormones do change through the day. It's not my area of expertise, but I was educated on hormones that pertain to digestion and nutrition, and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's some hormone fluxuating. My husband also gets hot in the evening and he uses a fan frequently. I'm always cold, even if I'm sweating so I can't have air on me like that D: Bodies and hormones are weird.
