Okay for one...no, the body is from the previous chassis generation and two generations of body style before the 04. BUT, you may be right that it sounds like your friends as this is an STI swap and it may be from an 04 STI donor car. On the other hand 90% of Subarus sound the same due to the H4 design and unequal length headers. Only some N/A cars like the 2.5 rs and a few in japan got equal length headers.

this may sound dumb but im not a car expert, can a blow off valve be fitted to an automatic transmission car? if so is the quality still the same? um do cars have to be turboed to fit a blow off valve or can you stick one on any car? thanx....
