Larry, the floor trader, shows us how trading OJ futures in the outcry pits can be more intense than any game in Vegas. Laetitia, the rookie, graduates from NYU and goes to her first nerve-wracking job interview on Wall Street. Jim and Lance, stockbrokers to the rich, reveal how they are betting all of their clients money on one “sure-fire” stock. Brett, the 28-year-old fund manager, investigates a new private bank in Connecticut and grills the bank president over his business plans.

Lol at the Sandisk “stockbrokers” talking about all the research their boiler room does on stocks. Lol. I used to work at one. 90% of the people there had no idea how to analyze the market. We were simply telemarketers with a Series 7 license.

Many thanks for uploading these cool vids. I am an old fart, and still trading for both profit and excitement. It keeps my mind active and fresh. I enjoy watching these old school traders all dressed up in uncomfortable clothing and choking ties. Nowadays most of us individual traders are trading from home in t-shirt and shorts. I am old enough to remember the Sandisk company, which I believe is still a viable data storage biz. I hope this Wall Street Warrior documentary series won some kind of documentary award. I look back and can't stop laughing that I used a 800/1200 baud modems to transact my trades back in those days....

The Floor Trader: BEST thing the show had going, only true "insider" and accomplished a lot during VERY trying times. Impressive.
The Options Broker: NO idea who this is...
The Stock Broker: IS NOT a stock broker at all... runs a boiler room that focuses solely on getting schmucks to commit their hard earned capital only for this "broker" to shit all down the toilet.
The Hard Sell: No Country for Hard Sell anymore... his skills, even at the time of shooting this documentary (2008), was a far cry from the expectations Wall Street was demanding from traders. Analytics and Algos killed this man's "career." Also an impressive womanizer... yikes.
The Rookie: ALL beauty, little brains. Unreliable and still to this day does not have a clue what to with themselves...
The Fund Manager: TRY as he might, he accomplished NOTHING during the entirety of the documentary. Truly impressive the time he was able to waste. Appears to be a scam.

Pitching story stocks to strangers to pick up some side money seems pathetic. You don't have a brokerage agreement in place. Story stocks are expected to be just that -- stories you tell over beer. This is kind of like the rap promoters in hollywood who try like hell to give you a music CD for free. If you take it, they start hustling you to pay for it, even before you listen to it (because you'll not likely see them again). It's a pathetic business model.

3:31 this is your typical bottom of the barrel stock broker. Having a staff making hundreds of cold calls every day. i used to do this in college. This is about as unglamorous as it gets. He is right when he says people quit on the spot. Cold callers are grinded up and spit out every day, all day. Only the strong survive.
