The apron is filled with heavy lead so that the X-ray Ray's don't go through his body. It's to keep the cancer off of him if it was heavy x-rays cause cancer eventually if you're exposed constantly to the radiation.BEAUTIFUL doors and so much more. Thank you for showing me so much beauty I could never get to.

Enjoyed the video very much. Loved all the built ins and converted gas lights. I always liked those old ice cube trays! During the summer, we would crack and dump the cubes into a big bowl, fill the trays with water (remembering that ice water expands), checking frequently to see if the new ice had formed, crack, dump and refill. Put in a big bucket, take out to the picnic table and have nice cool drinks. We didn't have ice cube makers in the frig. We were really eco friendly back in the 50- 60s. No clothes driers, dish washers, . . . enough Grandma Carla! Thanks Lesley, Jordy and Danny!

Another excellent explorer guys...well done. Unless I missed someones comment, the item that was stuck into the top of the wine/port cask is called a 'fermentation lock' the very top part is filled partially with water which allows the carbon dioxide to vent out during the brewing process and prevents outside air from entering into the cask which will spoil the contents.

It would seem he had a general practice but a comprehensive one that was able to do Xrays, general surgery although I think it was minor surgery. The apron looks more like a lead lined apron used to protect the person from xrays. I get the feeling the very first room was his consulting room as it wasn’t unknown in years gone by for doctors to have consulting rooms in their homes. Obviously pre health centres

Hi Lesley and Jordy, Bros of Decay, What a wonderful start of your video with these amazingly beautiful drone shots and your again so
poetical intro narration. - This is always a pure pleasure to listen to your voice. - You had again with your adorable friend Danny an excellent
"tour guide" at your side showing and accurately explaining specific items in this interesting mansion. - Also Jordys camera skills are so excellent.
I would have appreciated seeing also him at the beginning of your video! - Once more wonderful is your unique way of approaching the life
of the former inhabitants and imagining the history of this location. - Very fascinating to follow you in mind through these rooms! - The meat
grinder was actually very familiar to me, as I still remember how my parents used to produce minced meet with the help of such an instrument.
By the way also in Finland they like drinking a lot of coffee. Every time you get invited you are asked, if you like a coffee and a kind of sweet
white bread. - Military duty was also everything else than fun back in the days in Switzerland as well, as I became to know by older people.
I loved the small scene, when you opened a cabinet like door - and suddenly appeared Danny. - Very funny! - It was again a magnificient
video from the winning team Bros of Decay together with Danny. - I loved how you were imagining Mr. Pierre relaxing from his work and
playing the piano. - So lovely! - I am already looking forward to your next explore. Stay safe and take care! - Blessings, peace and kindest regards.

Hey Willy, thank you once again for this wonderfull comment! It is just wonderfull to see how hospital some country are! Here in Portugal they will ask you to drink coffee with you on every occasion.
Did you yourself do military duety in Switzerland?
      Thank you,
      Kind regards
      Lesley

      Hey Willy,
I am very happy for you that you never had to go through that... Heard lots of stories from my grandfather from war times and they where horrible...
In Portugal the weather is also turning for the worst but we have already had some great weather ☺️👌
I will say hay to them from you
      Kind regards,
      Lesley

@@BrosOfDecay , WOW what a lovely feedback again from you!! - The times, your grandfather had to attend military
service, was of course quite different, compared to our present times - at least here in Western Europe. - I really appreciate
so much this lovely youtube dialogue with you, and I am even more looking very much forward to a next meetup with you, bro!
Now the weather has suddenly turned to sunny and bright, and I can go again out for grocery shopping. - Much love and
      many hugs. - Kindest regards.

A very interesting video from you handsome gentlemen. Thank you. You impressed me by the way you were all so respectful as you looked around. The house looks (to me anyway!) as though it was abandoned very quickly. It seems a shame to have left it to decompose and change from a home into, in effect, a museum. I bet an estate agent would be able advertise it as a palace and charge a fortune for it haha
Blessings and peace to you all from UK
