Curry crab is usually eaten for breakfast with johnny cake/fried dumpling, avocado, sweet plantain and some coco tea.Curry crab or shrimp has been part of the Jamaican diet since the arrival of the 1st coolies/indentured servants from India in 1840.
I think curry crab is a common dish in the whole Caribbeans, I am from Martinique and we have this dish.

Bwoy I miss this, when I used to live in the country and my brother and his friends would run boat when we go grung with granny and grandfather. Boy those were the best foods.......making that tomorrow for my son and I.curry crab and dumplings. As an American child thats one of his favorite Jamaican recipe.
