Stratovarius seems to be big everywhere other than the US. It sucks that they are so underrated here.
That's the life of a power metal band. American power metal band Iced Earth used to only tour in Europe because not enough people back in the US liked them, and even now most of their largest shows are in Europe.

The favorite song of one of my best friends, who died in summer. During the 4 years we were flat mates, he listened to it a lot. "Now I'm leaving my worries behind" is fitting him oh too well. He taught me to snowboard, and to go out and just have fun. Thanks Paul for the amazing time.

I can see why Stratovarius is one of the most influential bands in power metal.
One thing about Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica I love is the fact that their music always had powerful messages.

I heard this song for the first time in a Naruto AMV back in like 2008 and I said to myself, "Where have I heard this song before??" but I couldn't figure it out. I didn't figure it out until like a decade later when I learned about the plagiarism in the Budokai games. When I heard "Challengers" again for the first time my jaw dropped and I went, "THATS FUCKING HUNTING HIGH AND LOW!!!" It felt so good to finally solve that mystery after all those years.
I can't exactly describe the feeling this song gives, but it's awesome.
If you played Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1 or 2 or Tenkaichi 1.... Then Nostalgia.

So I bought the Budokai HD Collection a few days ago and was really excited.
Then I discovered that all the original music was removed. I'm not gonna lie, but that nearly killed my whole experience.

Same! It's the only reason I really loved playing Namek and Muscle Tower in Budokai 1 and 2 respectively. I have NEVER lost on those stages. For some reason, I could bust out moves I just couldn't on the other stages. Is it the beat? is it the pure goddamn Godly Energy that springs from it? I don't know. But it just powers you up beyond anything.
I was heartbroken when the first fight on Namek started in Budokai HD and I didn't hear the synth and electric guitar strumming...

Budokai 3 had nothing but flat-out plagarism, I'm afraid. Still a pretty kick ass soundtrack, but a kick-ass plagarized soundtrack nonetheless.

Tinha jogado o Budokai 1 hoje, daí não deu. Tive que vir aqui para ouvir esta obra de arte novamente, parece que se passaram séculos da última vez que escutei essa música (ou o álbum na verdade). Tão boa quanto eu me lembre, Strato é lendário, sem mais.
To this day one of the best power metal songs ever written.
And proof that even a genre known for technical skill, a well-written, emotive song doesn't need noodling. Super easy but effective guitar work.
You guys may complain that "DBZ brought us here", but if DBZ DIDN'T bring us here, we would never have discovered Stratovarius at all. This band needs all the love it deserves, no matter where it gets it from.
Stratovarius is currently my favorite band of all time, thanks to Dragon Ball Z. Thank you both, DBZ and STRATOVARIUS!

So what. He didn't credit the band, he just stole the song and made money off it. It wasn't until people called him out on being a plagiarizing piece of shit that Stratovarius got publicity, so I say people should continue calling him out on being a piece of shit.
