- Is this the future of Japanese art? Designed by visionary artist Hidetomo Kimura, the Art Aquarium in Nihonbashi, Tokyo is his latest project aimed at celebrating the beauty of Goldfish. Goldfish, or Kingyo in Japanese, have been popular in Japan for hundreds of years and are intrinsically woven into the culture. If you're looking for a good way to enjoy contemporary art mixed with the grace and animation of nature, there's certainly no better way to do so.

Hi, this is Mao. I am a secretary of Mr Hidetomo Kimura who is an art aquarium artist. Thank you so much for making this great video! Mr Hidetomo also saw it and he really impressed! He would love to show this video to his foreign friends :) Again, very thank you for amazing work. Good job!
Thank you, it’s a great honor and pleasure to hear from you and Mr. Kimura. We really enjoyed the visit and filming there. So thank you for the wonderful opportunity 😊
I hope more people from all over the world can visit your Art Aquarium once the corona is over! - Yasu
Damn, I feel like the video really captured the museum's essence... Julian's cinematography and music choices have really leveled up!
Thanks man! I can't take all the credit, Yasu chose the opening track haha.

This does not look animal fiendly.. do you have any information if the fish are taken out and have days to rest in a normal fishtank with hiding spots and plants?
They are FISH!
@@bobbya9949 great observation skills
so unethical. don't go there, the tanks are so small and even rounded (which is bad for fishes). the fishes are also sensitive to light and generally have almost no plants of rocks in the tanks.
Who told you round tanks are bad for fish (not fishes 😢)?
This looks beautiful but I think the fish are wayyyy to overstocked.
I'm sure their filtration is top notch. Koi and Goldies are really dirty. But if you have good way to manage all that poop, then it should be fine.
You really really really really really really nailed the intro there.
I don't usually wear a hat, but, hats off!
Thanks man! I really appreciate it. Almost seems like no effort when you're shooting in such a cool place haha.

Brilliant, I really enjoyed that. The production level of these videos is of a very high standard and I defy anyone to find anything better on mainstream tv. Well done!👏👏👏👍
:) Just waiting for that multi-million dollar deal any day now!

@@JapanGo it's going to happen! 👍
Poor fish
How do you feel about abortion?
@@bobbya9949 very random question sir
My golly, how wonderful. Great videography and explanations there. Gotta see that x x
Thanks! And glad you liked our video ☺️ - Yasu
Awesome, I hope one day I'll have enough money to take a looong trip in Japan
It's hard to appreciate the beauty of this art when there is so little consideration for the well-being of these animals.
I swear, you need more subscribers.
I swear, we totally agree with you! ;) Thank you! Aha

Seems to be more about the spectacle and less about the fish...
Zero Animal husbandry going on here. Very disappointing
Yeah I feel so bad for these fish :(
Animal husbandry seems cruel.
No.. unethical art
How do you feel about abortion? You know, the unethical killing of babies.
