There's a big Venn diagram overlap. I've found a balaclava or doo-rag to be useful in about 80% of the mascots I've worked in, if for no other reason than to discourage that one super salty sweat drop that gets in your eye.

I think you'd better to wear balaclava before wear a fursuit head..
its a mascot costume they are different than fursuits.
