Hey Gents, Thanks for turning me on to the masterful playing of Bill Nelson, l can hear where Allan Collins got the Freebird solo from the song , No Train to Heaven. Olson its a great album. Thanks, from 🇨🇦.
Randy Jackson of Zebra is one of the best guitarists I have ever seen. Also, Armik. An Armenian guitarist known for his outstanding flamenco technique.
Saw Steve Hillage and had to click! Others who are under appreciated include Allan Holdsworth of UK, Andy Latimer of Camel, and Steuart Smith (Rodney Crowell, Rosanne Cash, Eagles).
If you really want to see a couple of guitar players that you've probably never heard of, but should know, it is Ida Presti and Alexander Goya. Watch some videos of them if you want technique.
Excellent list, fellas! One guy I thought never got the recognition he deserved (despite playing with some of the biggest names in popular music) would be Daryl Stuermer. If you can go toe-to-toe with Holdsworth (as he did on Jean-Luc Ponty's Enigmatic Ocean), you're something special. But he's also such a great writer, as well. Tommy Bolin would be another. Shawn Lane, as well. And Ralph Towner. The list goes on and on! Glad to see Steve Morse on the list. My favorite. Love his playing and, more importantly, his writing. As a composer, he never repeats himself, but you always know its him.
Wow! you guys are the first music CZcamsrs that I've heard mention BeBop Deluxe and Bill Nelson. He is amazing and has a huge discography with a lot of different types of music.
Steve Hillage, Bill Nelson, Massive influence on me, as Was John Martyn, Allan Holdsworth, Andy Powell, Ted Turner, Andy Latimer, Jon de Cann, Ernie lsley, Gary green, Zal Clemson,
Steve Morse is the most amazing guitarist there is. John Petrucci said "he thought he had done all he could on guitar until he saw Steve Morse play". I saw Petrucci set his guitar down in front of Morse then kneel and bow to Morse. That is how incredible Morse was and is!
@@frankiecasper2903Michael Schenker is probably the most melodic player that has been around for decades. Modern players can only dream of how Michael comes up with such incredible memorable melodic licks. Only Gary Moore is up there with Michael.
@@frankiecasper2903 all the comments below his videos on CZcams claim that he is the greatest guitarists of all time & although I will not go that far but there has not been a greater guitarist and if you include his volume of work, there is no comparison.
Thank you for mentioning Gary Moore, perhaps the best ever. He could do anything and did. The proof is always in the taste of the pudding So, here's a taste for ya. “The Thrill is Gone” Gary Moore with B.B. King 10:00 Live! Best Duet in History! czcams.com/video/iUaevnP1LLg/video.html "The Messiah Shall Come Again" Gary Moore czcams.com/video/7k07j7LcLqw/video.html
At last someone mentioned Steve Hillage amazing with Gong

Jerry Moore? Never heard of him. I’ve heard of Gary Moore of Thin Lizzy though.
From Australia , Ritchie Blackmore , Peace from down under.

Both Brad and I consider Bill Nelson a Guitar God. He is a musician's musician. The lead in Axe Victim is soo hard to master. Thanks for commenting.

hope you mentioned Greg Sage of the Wipers. Unique sound!!
SRV & Jeff Beck(whom no one has ever covered on CZcams) are also a cut above the rest
Check out Roy Marchbank, a phenominal guitarist from the UK.
Saw Steve Hillage in the thumbnail and had to drop in. Wish you would have spent a little more time on him. Thank you.
Hillage is the man!
L is his second solo album, Fish Rising being the first.
Check out Dewa Budjana.
Never heard a better blues player than Alvin Lee
Your right and he was so FAST!
AJ Richetti from Pennsylvania absolutely incredible guitarist 🎸
You guys check out the Gongzilla album track gongzilla spine thrill

Did you guys ever hear of Buckethead??? He toured with guns n' roses
Yes, I love Buckethead. He is a hell of a guitarist. Thanks

Did you mean Gary Moore? Steve Morse [Deep Purple]
Yes
Jan Ackermann
WOW, He is awesome. I have always wanted to own a Framus Jan Akkerman Guitar.
@@frankiecasper2903 I'd have killed for a black Les Paul Custom like his when I was 12! Come to think of it, I probably would now at 63! 😁
Nobody ever mentions Alex Lifeson, the best rhythm guitarist in the world
I think Futurama came before Axe Victim. Sister Seagull and Maid in Heaven.
Sunburst Finish, then Axe Victim, then Futurama.
Also Tony Mcalpine, Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan, Walter Trout, Kenny Wayne Shepherd
