Yip Man replied "this is about lop nim" which means "to establish an idea in the mind" and not believe and train.

Thank you from Grandmaster Jim Fung's International Wing Chun Academy in Australia for presenting this informative interview with our Sigung.

  • @wingchun-simplekungfu7584

And thank you from myself. One of sifu Jim Fungs’ senior instructors from Adelaide. We were so extremely fortunate to have trained with our grandmaster. As Sigung was to have trained under Ip Man for so many years 🙏

I think his English name is Chu Shong Tin, not Tsui Seung Tin. 徐尚田 pronounced as Chui6 Seung5 Tin6 (Natural Cantonese Romanisation) I am learning Wing Chun by myself and I am so glad that I have seem a lot of his videos on youtube. He truly understands the Wing Chun System, especially all the little details in each of the three forms of Wing Chun and how they are actually related to the application of each move. His understanding of the importance of the shoulder movement is truly amazing. This opens up a lot of rooms for exploiting how the shoulder can be positioned to fully utilize it to power up each move. His mentioning of the coordination of each move together with a person's backbones and even hip bones and the utilization of some strange mind power reminds us of the existence of unexploited potentials of our body, not only for Kung Fu, but also for any sports.

Beautiful response Arthur. If you haven’t already, check out Mindful Wing Chun. Nima Kung , remains in Hong Kong teaching , was learning from our Sigung for his final years of teaching. Sigung Chu was so incredibly committed to passing his skill on. I know a couple of people who have grasped it , but I’m certain there would be many more 🙏👍🏻

Dear Sifu Sergio , I just want to tell you that I enjoyed these stories very much. Thank you bringing us these precious moments as it is part of the legacy as well. In the old times it would have been just oral transmissions which carries the risk of error and mistakes, with technologies we can kept it in a more complete and accurate form. Keep them coming.
    Great job.

Excellent interview Sifu Sergio. Very interesting.
I've been trying to learn Cantonese (on-and-off) for years now.
Thank you for the lesson. Have fun. Paul, G4JNN.

Sifu Sergio comes from Leung Ting's association which was very sectarian and profit oriented. The fact that he's been able to go beyond this sect proves that he's a very smart person.

I agree KW. Honestly and very well commented . My sifu made many similar remarks about Leung. Unfortunately there are still many of Ip’s students making money from false claims . Fakes. All about greed.
