I have a u2718q monitor with the exact same issue. I took it apart and it has quite a different layout but I can feel that one main chip near the centre upper board is very hot and some of the resistors of the right hand side of the board feel hot. But I am not sure how many resistors to remove now.
I actually managed to fix it! I took out the centre 4 resistors and the image improved but still have a band of lines at the top of the screen. I eventually ended up removing all 8 resistors in that bank and now the image came out perfect. I hope it lasts and there aren't any other side effects or safety issues but it had been working perfect so far for the whole day today.
Hello in my monitor resistors at left side is cold but in the middle is a coil „100” and it”s very hot and has only 4 Ohms it could be broken ? Or resistor make short circut

the panel has shorted lines.just remove the resistors and observe
I keep hearing a ticking noise and the display is flickering continuously the entire screen
