Probably this is what plagues us as a nation too -- the lack of respect for someone's time. I wonder if they have an educational unit under them that people can join to learn their skills, if not their passion. Maybe introduce it in colleges to enable students to work towards a Six Sigma certification program. We, as the common public, have to believe that we can collectively move towards a steadily growing India by wanting to learn more from people like these.

In a country like India where even out Government offices are worldwide renowned for not doing anything in time these illiterate, brave, disciplined and decent employees of Dabbawaala are setting an example of REAL India since 1890. This is a true lesson we Indians learn and I am sure the future generations will learn a great deal from them too. It would benefit your life a great deal if you opened your narrow minds a bit. The Western Business experts have not been able to decipher the delivery Business model. Zero Emissions / Zero delays / 100% success rate at cheapest price without eye on profit / This business not listed on Wall street OR Bombay stock exchange / Zero strikes / Lowly paid but Work as worship model. Great Work by the poor to serve humanity & that is what deserves all our blessings.

By Western Business experts you may be referring to business academics. Business academics try to study successful business men and coin buzzwords to label their style and use it to manufacture businessmen on college assembly lines. Then the unemployable graduates wonder why they cannot apply their "knowledge".

I had been to mumbai long ago and as a kid it was so fascinating to watch these guys carrying so many dabbas on trolley like carriers wearing white kurtas and topis, rushing in and out of local trains. I'm just astonished to see how brilliant are they at their jobs! Timely delivery, No holidays, HUGE network, etc. Even "Big" Pizza brands like dominos often fails to deliver pizza in the given time. These guys are way ahead of any GPS and stuff! No maps, no call centre, no website, no phone!
