Fallout 4 definitely had the better graphics because of the better engine, Fallout New Vegas had the better storyline and factions and music, Fallout 3 created the nostalgia that we all came to love from an open world arpg with a take on humanity. All of them present a realism like no other game on earth so in my opinion they all are outstanding games and cannot be compared.
This narrative is always parroted on every vid related to this (See also when comparing spidermen - Tobey = best Peter, Andrew = best spidey etc) But no. We need to put to bed this narrative that fo4 is a good game. It has better graphics than fo3, better gunplay, but that doesn’t mean it has GOOD graphics or gunplay. The graphics/gunplay of fo3 are so bad. Slightly improving them doesn’t mean they’re now good. A kick in the face is ‘better’ than a kick in the nuts. Neither are great though.
@@noah1322 it’s something like 58 unique items in NV and 11 unique items in fo4.. They have legendary items but they’re just the same gun with a ‘funny’ name and ‘number go up’. No unique design, no unique animations or anything. Every gun in NV has a unique variant, then there’s other unique items like pimpboy 3B
I really like the changes they made to power armor in FO4 - making it lumbering and powerful, instead of just a plate armor suit that otherwise doesn't impact much. I also like how it uses the one common 'chassis' underneath, with the actual armor variants coming down to the parts mounted to it. No idea how lore accurate it is, but it made the PA feel cooler.
That's always how it was intended to be. The other games in the series just didn't have the tech to pull it off. The only thing that changed lore wise was the addition of the fusion cores. In the older games they were enteral and lasted pretty much forever not 15mins

Shooting gallery like fun was a higher priority than balance. Maybe whomever came up with the power armor design was more concerned with balance than the rest of the team though
@@Plight_ The main character would have already gotten training (pointless mechanic btw) and you need to repair the power armour each time you use it in combat with it getting more expensive with each set. The power armour in Fo4 was made to be overpowered on purpose. oh yeah the t-60 and the t-45 are the only 2 complete sets of power armour within Fo4 the rest like the X-o1 only appear in imperfect condition.
@@Plight_ nawh training aint hard to get and isnt a good balance mechanic. in FONV you can just waltz into the brotherhood complete some semi easy quests to get training. in fnv the thing that balanced the power Armor was in repairing it, you either had to find more sets(they are very rare) or pay a huge amount to fix them. in FO4 power armour is like a vehicle, you can jump off the tallest parts of the game, go underwater, go almost anywhere iradiated and fly in some cases. FO4 balanced this by making the armour degradable (like FNV) adding another rare item that you need to grind constantly to collect and run your suit (power cores). they couldnt have made the suits as op as they where without the power cores. and how is this any different from say the anti-material rifle in FONV? the ammo is rare and it costs a shit ton to repair but is OP when you can use it.

As much as i like fallout 3 good gawd that game was my introduction to the series when i was little. And new vegas of course. But you JUST have to admit. Mostly because Fallout New Vegas comes before it, and Fallout New Vegas got an incredible roleplaying experience, which is what most Fallout fans want. Not really caring about gunplay, if anything the awkward gunplay is part of the "realism" of the series. I would honestly prefer a middle term between fallout 4 and new vegas, the player should specialize more in weapons instead of being an "all-good" god
The fo4 power armor is much more realistic, including the power core. The classic power armor never felt as powerful as it should be. It's called "power armor", but hardly gave you any power, just damage resistance. It felt weak.

@@jibbanibba2000relax Jabba the hutt 2000 it ain’t nothing like fork night, they only added the ability to build settlements for new players and fans who wanted to make there own settlements and have different vendors in the areas for trading and they acted as your safe house, fallout three and Vegas had some shit ass vendors in the different little towns around the wasteland and to top it off each little town in fallout 3 or Vegas had different rooms you could sleep in for a night or buy a house for yourself to sleep in and store your items but that’s lame as shit why would I want to spend caps on a home when I could just build a whole ass town from the ground up and be in control of said town, the settlements are there so you can fast travel and be way closer to locations you have not yet discovered in game
Yeah I agree. 3 seemed oppresive, NV seemed rather populated and strange where 4 still seemed alive. it was the pint though, 4 is closer to after the bombs dropped and I guess in FO lore the east coast of USA was less damaged than the bigger cities, capital. Plus 4s whole thing, and 76 too is about rebuilding civilization where 3 is about survival and NV about playing the "house" and factions against each other. Good that all 3 do feel different though. I find 3 the hardest to go back to though.

Fallout 4 had some preem gameplay that's why i enjoyed it so much. However in NV and 3 (a bit less in 3). You really could feel the world and factions changing around you as the story progressed. That was a really rewarding feeling, you were slowly becoming a legend around the Mojave. CP2077 felt the same way as well.
They react, just not to gunfire, but they will react if you look at a locked terminal, door or container or if you try to pickpocket them. And guards will react to your karma , your choices in the game and your companions.
I love how all of the games have something better than the other, 3 with the atmosphere, NV with the story and rpg elements, 4 with the graphics and gameplay, and yet each one of them have a real argument being the best. I love it. Reminds me of the Arkham games. Absolutely timeless
i actually really like fallout 4's explosion from the cars since the cars use nuclear energy to be powered, i'm not too sure how realistic it is that a mini mushroom cloud comes out from the cars but it's a cool detail
+1 Edit: From Bethesda.... but my favourite is Fallout 2 but that game is too dated for the younger generations and I think it would deserve a remake but I hope not Bethesda will do it.
there's also the fact that a lot of the weapons particle effects are gone from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and just some effects in general, mods like Obscurum - Pandemic and EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements can't be recreated too well in fallout 4 mods like Fallout 2287 - Gas Masks of the Wasteland, NATX, Obscurum IV. have to use old tricks to get effects that the old games could achieve, its odd for fallout 4 being its a better looking game. it probably could pull off some cool effects if the community could figure it out given some of the effects in the games DLC like far harbor and nuka world and automatron. fallout 76 has the best mob and gun effects also more unique weapons i wish bethesda would back port guns like the black powder guns from 76 they would fit in fallout 4.
The NPCs do infact react to gunfire, I remember because I played F:NV as a sadistic child and liked teasing shooting NPCs, and in fallout 4, I liked teasing shooting NPCs for fun. Yes, you can blow up cars in every 3D fallout title, not just 3 and 4.
My preferred V.A.T.S. is in 76 as it doesn't a stop or slow down time. One thing I'd change is how critical work. Critical meter should fill up with non-Vats shots as the crit would be like a rewards. (If they keep the meter.)
I feel they shouldve made the shots to the water more violent with verticle white splashes. They looks like bb gun splashes in all 3. As someone who shoots a lot ofnairguns and powder burners, shooting water makes for impressive splashes
I love how F4 power armor feels like POWER ARMOR and not a metal spandex suit with exposed pipboy wrist😂 The Fusion Core part needs some fine tuning in next games but keep in mind. A supposed 200+ year lasting FC would get its lifetime shortened by not only time but conditions aswell by F4 time. Spiters ignore that part. Hope for more immersion like option to opaque, even remove the p.a HUD, also have different helmet HUD frames depending on what p.a helmet and visor you use too, in future games. Also HUD color wheel option
Fallout 4 came with my PS4 pro bundle and didn’t even open the game for months. So it was the first fallout I experienced and I loved it. Although I never managed to complete it so I will get the remaster when it’s out. Don’t listen to people being negative it’s a really good game. I can’t speak for the other fallouts haven’t played em.
Its worse in quality to all the other fallout games other than 76. Sure it has better mechanics because of being the more recent but it lacks in quality in most other areas. The voiced protagonist and near lack of builds or RPG mechanics ruined the game. You wouldn't know if you never played the other fallout games but the general gist is in fallout you are locked into a build and things you take in 1 step of progression lock you out of other things. Also limits your ability on how to speak to and deal with people. FO4 you can be a master of everything. It is a decent game but a weak RPG.
A lot of fallout 4 fans never completed the main story actually You have no idea what they're complaining about. Not playing 3 or NV first you don't really appreciate all of the stuff that was not added into fallout 4. -Skills are gone. -Custom ammo is gone. -skill checks are gone. And the lore is inconsistent -You can find pipe weapons in pre war containers (Other lore requires a long explanation) Welcome to the community I know it can be annoying to see people trash your first game in the franchise. But they must criticize to save Bethesda from making mistakes like StarField
Okay so the three super mutants with rocket launchers didn’t just happen to me. I started a new game recently and my first time wondering around I ran into those three super mutants with rocket launchers and I was like how tf am I suppose to fight them with a pipe pistol
Fallout 3 and 4 are about 7 years apart and 4 came out for ps4 and Xbox one while 3 and NV came out for ps3 and Xbox 360 there were limitations on what the old engine could do
Basically they use the same engine, they polished a little. You can see with your own eyes. When Skyrim came out in 2011 they "renamed" the gambryo engino to "creation engine" but it is the same old engine which were under Morrowind and later they used the "creation engine 2" in Starfield. Bethesda is very lazy and they should write a new engine or use UE5 because TES VI will be a huge flop just like Starfield if they continue that series.
The writing had taken steps backwards and was filled with plot holes. There were quests they didn't complete and took shortcuts with, and there's no strong sense of reward and accomplishment for the player. It's all, "meh". Starfield was even worse.

One of the things I don't see anyone talking about is the gore and V.A.T.S cinematics in FO3 and New Vegas, I think 4 is much weaker in this aspect, especially the Bloody Mess skill that explodes the enemy's body. I feel that in FO3 and New Vegas everything is much more aggressive, the slow motion and the angles the camera takes are better, and the way the ragdolls behave when they die are more satisfying. All 3 games uses Morrowind's engine, haha. Gambryo but Bethesda renamed when Skyrim released to "Creation Engine" and they used it under Fallout 4 and 76 and even in Starfield with the fancy name of "Creation Engine 2". They should really make a new engine... or go with UE5 or whatever.
You know whats funny, with everyone playing these games again recently, this is the first time I saw someone mention 30fps. Kinda goes to show you that 30 versus 60 is way over blown and when a game is good 30 can be tolerated, especially if it's not a fast pace fps

I can deal with 30 fps, like in Tlou, red dead, or even Wolfenstein, because they are good games. Even in a remaster, 30 fps I wouldn’t care, but there would have to be amazing graphics in a remaster to make up for it.
I guess fall damage just isn't a thing in Fallout 4. Other than that, the nuclear storms and other various crash to desktop bugs I think it's a great game. The coming update better be worth it.
how was this tested though? it can make a difference if you play on a computer(incl. drivers and OS) from that period sometimes features are dropped or certain effects are disabled when playing with newer(unknown and unsupported) hardware, not to mention that newer OSes and graphics card drivers can prioritise newer hardware/games while introducing new bugs/issues to older games that are no longer supported for example: Fallout 3 using a GTX 280 and drivers from just after Fallout 3's release and a compatible system+OS Fallout 4 using a GTX 980 Ti and drivers from just after Fallout 3's release and a compatible system+OS
The gameplay in 3 in New Vegas isn’t that much different to fallout 4 the gunplay and graphics are worse and there’s the fact you can’t run but other than that there’s no real major difference I highly recommend you play 3 and New Vegas they have a better story compared to 4 that being said New Vegas’ story far surpasses fallout 3 and fallout 4’s story
fallout 3 just captures the apocalypse atmosphere so well new Vegas same soundtrack and feel just makes both so playable fallout 4 is good but just falls short on that.
As someone who didn’t play fallout growing up, I started with FO4 last year and loved it so much. Then I tried to get into NV and 3 but found it hard to love because of the inferior mechanics. I hope to eventually make a mod set up that makes them easier to enjoy.
I had the same issue but you just gotta force yourself/push through it then you get immersed and it’s really fun, just finished my FO3 gameplay and halfway through new Vegas now having tons of fun, gonna replay 4 once I’m done

I spend so much time messing with mods n how I want to make my character that when I actually start playing I play some few hours n then stop playing for months or more.
At the time, Fallout 3 seemed revolutionary to me. Level 4 in terms of graphics and game mechanics raised the bar even further, but some RPG issues were lost. I've never played New Vegas, but those graphics put me off. Many people with the theme of the series recommend starting with Fallout 1 or 2, or even 3. Those games are only for lovers of the franchise. In my opinion, the best thing you can do is start with the direct 4. And if they see that they are really hooked, then they move on to another game.

Fallout New Vegas Multiplayer mod is working and out now and, it has a tale of two wasteland compatability. So you can play 3 and nv in nvs engine, with friends. All graphics mods work, and enbs and what not. You can use their servers or download one for yourself to do your own coop form.

It seems like nostalgia is what make a game a favorite. I started with Fallout 4 so it’s my fave. Plus the graphics are better. They kind of have to be. The game came out a handful of years later. But like I said, nostalgia wins. Halo CE will always be my favorite Halo campaign. Despite other Halo games having better missions/stories/graphics/gameplay…Halp CE was what my brother and I bonded over as kids and beating the campaign on legendary is our last greatest accomplishment before becoming estranged.
I have played a few of them, I actually have a soft spot for Fallout 4! The one I’m least keen on is Fallout 76! That one feels like a step in the wrong direction! Fallout 3 has the best bleak atmosphere if you like that? It’s still a great game! Vegas is also great.. and could be the best for gritty! Story telling

yeah weapons in 4/76 are better in many ways. BUT fallout 76 is so empty, playing it just for fun with friends. But lot of bugs, boring map, lags. IDK man, fallout is shooter game but it need to be better in other things. Fallout New Vegas is banger for me. Fallout 3 is nostalgic and good too. Fallout 4 is not bad but more better than 76.

And a week ago my friend gave me 76, which I was sceptical about but its was extremely fun to play (to be honest probably because we skipped the story and just focused on exploring and building) And in my original comment I actually unfairly treated fo76 weapons, the animations are still somewhat bad but the big weapons (gatling gun ect) are epic and beautiful)
What are you on about? Fallout 4 and 76 are the only games in the series with creative weapon designs. The other just have slightly modified real world weapons.

Mostly because Fallout New Vegas comes before it, and Fallout New Vegas got an incredible roleplaying experience, which is what most Fallout fans want. Not really caring about gunplay, if anything the awkward gunplay is part of the "realism" of the series.
I would honestly prefer a middle term between fallout 4 and new vegas, the player should specialize more in weapons instead of being an "all-good" god

The fo4 power armor is much more realistic, including the power core. The classic power armor never felt as powerful as it should be. It's called "power armor", but hardly gave you any power, just damage resistance. It felt weak.

@@HordaRoja1 as a whole, fo3 and New Vegas are considered the classics, so yeah. I barely played any of fo2 (wasn't my type of game), and never played fo1 or tactics or any of those old ones. The new power armor is definitely the best version, the most realistic. If it was big and powerful in the old games like you say they were, then perhaps they went back to those roots when they remade it for fo4 and 76

@@jibbanibba2000relax Jabba the hutt 2000 it ain’t nothing like fork night, they only added the ability to build settlements for new players and fans who wanted to make there own settlements and have different vendors in the areas for trading and they acted as your safe house, fallout three and Vegas had some shit ass vendors in the different little towns around the wasteland and to top it off each little town in fallout 3 or Vegas had different rooms you could sleep in for a night or buy a house for yourself to sleep in and store your items but that’s lame as shit why would I want to spend caps on a home when I could just build a whole ass town from the ground up and be in control of said town, the settlements are there so you can fast travel and be way closer to locations you have not yet discovered in game

3 seemed oppresive, NV seemed rather populated and strange where 4 still seemed alive.
it was the pint though, 4 is closer to after the bombs dropped and I guess in FO lore the east coast of USA was less damaged than the bigger cities, capital.
Plus 4s whole thing, and 76 too is about rebuilding civilization where 3 is about survival and NV about playing the "house" and factions against each other.
Good that all 3 do feel different though.
I find 3 the hardest to go back to though.
I'd give anything for a Fallout 3 remake.

Car explosions in fallout 3 were equivalent to a mini nuke
Fallout 4 had some preem gameplay that's why i enjoyed it so much. However in NV and 3 (a bit less in 3). You really could feel the world and factions changing around you as the story progressed. That was a really rewarding feeling, you were slowly becoming a legend around the Mojave. CP2077 felt the same way as well.

They react, just not to gunfire, but they will react if you look at a locked terminal, door or container or if you try to pickpocket them. And guards will react to your karma , your choices in the game and your companions.

I love how all of the games have something better than the other, 3 with the atmosphere, NV with the story and rpg elements, 4 with the graphics and gameplay, and yet each one of them have a real argument being the best. I love it. Reminds me of the Arkham games. Absolutely timeless

i actually really like fallout 4's explosion from the cars since the cars use nuclear energy to be powered, i'm not too sure how realistic it is that a mini mushroom cloud comes out from the cars but it's a cool detail

there's also the fact that a lot of the weapons particle effects are gone from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and just some effects in general, mods like Obscurum - Pandemic and
EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements can't be recreated too well in fallout 4
mods like Fallout 2287 - Gas Masks of the Wasteland, NATX, Obscurum IV. have to use old tricks to get effects that the old games could achieve, its odd for fallout 4 being its a better looking game. it probably could pull off some cool effects if the community could figure it out given some of the effects in the games DLC like far harbor and nuka world and automatron.
fallout 76 has the best mob and gun effects also more unique weapons i wish bethesda would back port guns like the black powder guns from 76 they would fit in fallout 4.
The NPCs do infact react to gunfire, I remember because I played F:NV as a sadistic child and liked teasing shooting NPCs, and in fallout 4, I liked teasing shooting NPCs for fun.

The VATS sound from 3 and New Vegas is the GOAT.
My preferred V.A.T.S. is in 76 as it doesn't a stop or slow down time. One thing I'd change is how critical work. Critical meter should fill up with non-Vats shots as the crit would be like a rewards. (If they keep the meter.)

I feel they shouldve made the shots to the water more violent with verticle white splashes. They looks like bb gun splashes in all 3. As someone who shoots a lot ofnairguns and powder burners, shooting water makes for impressive splashes

I love how F4 power armor feels like POWER ARMOR and not a metal spandex suit with exposed pipboy wrist😂 The Fusion Core part needs some fine tuning in next games but keep in mind. A supposed 200+ year lasting FC would get its lifetime shortened by not only time but conditions aswell by F4 time. Spiters ignore that part. Hope for more immersion like option to opaque, even remove the p.a HUD, also have different helmet HUD frames depending on what p.a helmet and visor you use too, in future games. Also HUD color wheel option
Fallout 4 came with my PS4 pro bundle and didn’t even open the game for months. So it was the first fallout I experienced and I loved it. Although I never managed to complete it so I will get the remaster when it’s out.
Don’t listen to people being negative it’s a really good game. I can’t speak for the other fallouts haven’t played em.
Its worse in quality to all the other fallout games other than 76. Sure it has better mechanics because of being the more recent but it lacks in quality in most other areas.
The voiced protagonist and near lack of builds or RPG mechanics ruined the game.
You wouldn't know if you never played the other fallout games but the general gist is in fallout you are locked into a build and things you take in 1 step of progression lock you out of other things. Also limits your ability on how to speak to and deal with people.
FO4 you can be a master of everything.

Fallout 3 and 4 are about 7 years apart and 4 came out for ps4 and Xbox one while 3 and NV came out for ps3 and Xbox 360 there were limitations on what the old engine could do
Basically they use the same engine, they polished a little. You can see with your own eyes. When Skyrim came out in 2011 they "renamed" the gambryo engino to "creation engine" but it is the same old engine which were under Morrowind and later they used the "creation engine 2" in Starfield. Bethesda is very lazy and they should write a new engine or use UE5 because TES VI will be a huge flop just like Starfield if they continue that series.

Fallout 4 is a great game
The writing had taken steps backwards and was filled with plot holes. There were quests they didn't complete and took shortcuts with, and there's no strong sense of reward and accomplishment for the player. It's all, "meh". Starfield was even worse.

Well Todd, you are an odd fellow. But I must say... you design some good water physics.
One of the things I don't see anyone talking about is the gore and V.A.T.S cinematics in FO3 and New Vegas, I think 4 is much weaker in this aspect, especially the Bloody Mess skill that explodes the enemy's body. I feel that in FO3 and New Vegas everything is much more aggressive, the slow motion and the angles the camera takes are better, and the way the ragdolls behave when they die are more satisfying.

That water shader remembers morrowind
All 3 games uses Morrowind's engine, haha. Gambryo but Bethesda renamed when Skyrim released to "Creation Engine" and they used it under Fallout 4 and 76 and even in Starfield with the fancy name of "Creation Engine 2". They should really make a new engine... or go with UE5 or whatever.

You know whats funny, with everyone playing these games again recently, this is the first time I saw someone mention 30fps. Kinda goes to show you that 30 versus 60 is way over blown and when a game is good 30 can be tolerated, especially if it's not a fast pace fps
@@Mmachine88 60 only really enhances fast paced FPS game like you said. Especially if they're cartoony. Borderlands and OG Overwatch play great in 60. Cinematic, slower games look fine in 30.

I can deal with 30 fps, like in Tlou, red dead, or even Wolfenstein, because they are good games. Even in a remaster, 30 fps I wouldn’t care, but there would have to be amazing graphics in a remaster to make up for it.

I guess fall damage just isn't a thing in Fallout 4. Other than that, the nuclear storms and other various crash to desktop bugs I think it's a great game. The coming update better be worth it.
how was this tested though? it can make a difference if you play on a computer(incl. drivers and OS) from that period
sometimes features are dropped or certain effects are disabled when playing with newer(unknown and unsupported) hardware, not to mention that newer OSes and graphics card drivers can prioritise newer hardware/games while introducing new bugs/issues to older games that are no longer supported
for example:
Fallout 3 using a GTX 280 and drivers from just after Fallout 3's release and a compatible system+OS
Fallout 4 using a GTX 980 Ti and drivers from just after Fallout 3's release and a compatible system+OS

The gameplay in 3 in New Vegas isn’t that much different to fallout 4 the gunplay and graphics are worse and there’s the fact you can’t run but other than that there’s no real major difference I highly recommend you play 3 and New Vegas they have a better story compared to 4 that being said New Vegas’ story far surpasses fallout 3 and fallout 4’s story

fallout 3 just captures the apocalypse atmosphere so well new Vegas same soundtrack and feel just makes both so playable fallout 4 is good but just falls short on that.
As someone who didn’t play fallout growing up, I started with FO4 last year and loved it so much. Then I tried to get into NV and 3 but found it hard to love because of the inferior mechanics. I hope to eventually make a mod set up that makes them easier to enjoy.
I had the same issue but you just gotta force yourself/push through it then you get immersed and it’s really fun, just finished my FO3 gameplay and halfway through new Vegas now having tons of fun, gonna replay 4 once I’m done

Fallout 4 was good but a lot was lost from New Vegas just to get some updated graphics. The RPG element was dumbed down quite a bit.
Despite my dislike for FO4 one thing they nailed is how they made power armor actually feel like a heavy metal suite
At the time, Fallout 3 seemed revolutionary to me. Level 4 in terms of graphics and game mechanics raised the bar even further, but some RPG issues were lost. I've never played New Vegas, but those graphics put me off. Many people with the theme of the series recommend starting with Fallout 1 or 2, or even 3. Those games are only for lovers of the franchise. In my opinion, the best thing you can do is start with the direct 4. And if they see that they are really hooked, then they move on to another game.

Fallout New Vegas Multiplayer mod is working and out now and, it has a tale of two wasteland compatability. So you can play 3 and nv in nvs engine, with friends. All graphics mods work, and enbs and what not.
You can use their servers or download one for yourself to do your own coop form.

It seems like nostalgia is what make a game a favorite. I started with Fallout 4 so it’s my fave. Plus the graphics are better. They kind of have to be. The game came out a handful of years later. But like I said, nostalgia wins. Halo CE will always be my favorite Halo campaign. Despite other Halo games having better missions/stories/graphics/gameplay…Halp CE was what my brother and I bonded over as kids and beating the campaign on legendary is our last greatest accomplishment before becoming estranged.
I have played a few of them, I actually have a soft spot for Fallout 4! The one I’m least keen on is Fallout 76! That one feels like a step in the wrong direction! Fallout 3 has the best bleak atmosphere if you like that? It’s still a great game! Vegas is also great.. and could be the best for gritty! Story telling
Id enjoy fallout 4/76 so much more if they put time and effort into their weapon design and animations!

yeah weapons in 4/76 are better in many ways. BUT fallout 76 is so empty, playing it just for fun with friends. But lot of bugs, boring map, lags. IDK man, fallout is shooter game but it need to be better in other things. Fallout New Vegas is banger for me. Fallout 3 is nostalgic and good too. Fallout 4 is not bad but more better than 76.
@@tmottl07 I agree with everything you said, except I haven't played fo4, (only tidbits) fallout NV was my first "modern" fallout after I played 2, then I got fallout 3 last year for free. And a week ago my friend gave me 76, which I was sceptical about but its was extremely fun to play (to be honest probably because we skipped the story and just focused on exploring and building) And in my original comment I actually unfairly treated fo76 weapons, the animations are still somewhat bad but the big weapons (gatling gun ect) are epic and beautiful)
What are you on about? Fallout 4 and 76 are the only games in the series with creative weapon designs. The other just have slightly modified real world weapons.
