- In today's video, The Rag Company heads to Florida for a 24 Hour Restoration Challenge! Freddy AKA "Tavarish" recruited Anthony to detail this EXTRA special 996 Porsche 911 Turbo. This car is being given away to Matt from E3 Customs who has been an amazing friend to Tavarish and his team. The problem? It needs an engine and a DETAIL overhaul!
Now, we wouldn't quite call this a disaster detail, but more in-line with a dusty barn find detail! This 996 had layers and layers of dust that needed to be removed! After a few slight delays with the motor install, Anthony was ready to dive in!
For this detail, we opted for many of Gtechniq's Decontamination products. From Fallout Remover to Citrus Foam, we needed all the chemical help we could get! Following a bucket wash with G-Wash, we jumped straight into claying and polishing. Anthony opted for his "old faithful" with The Last Cut Compound and Optimum Hyper Polish. This combo made a SIGNIFICANT difference and paved the way for the Crystal Serum Ultra coating.
All in all, this 996 turned out amazing (time considered). If you want to see Matt's reaction, head to Tavarish's channel for he full video!

Seriously! And if somebody somehow missed your video showing the build process they can check it out right here: czcams.com/video/nXyZFHVOEEw/video.htmlsi=GfcQjP8HfiQ2FSnn
That blue is RIDICULOUS!
I remember when the snap used to work. Loved the video, guys.
This is where the professionalism kicks in. If he would have said we were going to go do donuts in the car to me I would have just jumped in instead of letting the coating cure. When the fact there was no engine in would be pointed out to me I would have went all sad boy.
Great job! Love that color...
Amazing job in a short time! I want that Mirka, but it needs a trigger lock and speed reduction. #padkiller #paintburner
Damn son, I’m so on the fence about the ultra utility brush.
I use a very soft tire/wheel brush from a different name brand for half the price for the same cleaning areas with more than satisfactory results.
I like Tavarius for wanting to do donuts in the parking lot!
Love the colour!
Absolutely! There was a really deep & lovely shade of blue hiding under all that dust and grime!
Damn.. gotta go wash my truck lol
Props to Tavarish, he looks healthy.
I need to have y'all come detail my Hellcat. Poor thing needs a deep clean. Its a bit umm dusty, has some kind of rubber caked on the inner rear fenders. ; )
Tavarish and you are a great duo , very funny
Thank You!
Man with that much dirt a simple wash would suffice to make it look 100% lol
Someone had too much money & not enough love for cars. The idea of leaving & trashing this beauty goes against all that is holy! The prior owner should be made to walk a very short plank about a nest of swirling sharks!👍
Well done.
The link between two of my favourite CZcams characters, I just need Mat Armstrong, Chris Harris from Collecting cars and Matt Watson from Car wow for sheer entertainment here too 🎉
Lots of "things" use to work back in the day. lol I do like the 911 Turbo. I know its not everybody's favorite with the fried eye headlight's but I would not turn my nose up at it. Kinda with Freddie would not "de-tune" it. :)
Amazing transformation. You guys do amazing work. I was really looking forward to Danes pad washing session
Maybe next time 😅😅
0:40 so 996 or 911 like in your title? 🤔
A 996 is a 911
All Day Anthony?
Who?
Awesome Job of Cleaning up Tavarish work of Art forgetting to Cover the Porsche. Hehehehehehe. 👍🏻
Looks good! But if the IMS bearing goes on that Porsche 996 Turbo goes, then the vehicle is toast. 😮
Actually, the Turbos used a different engine design that wasn’t susceptible to the IMS issues the naturally aspirated models had. Just in case anyone was worried about that. ✌️
Motorpsorts Mezger engine dude. Do your research!
Chris fix talking...😮😊
