Excellent and really enjoyed it, however, you could have done without the bad language. My children repeated every word that you said but I think that you are very talented. Thank you.
I appreciate that! I've talked about this before in my content. Because, some make comments about the cussing. Most don't care. I think I am just going to post this comment here and address it encase anyone else has something to say about it!
I cus for REAL! IF YOU MEET ME in real life, that's what YOU WILL GET! Not someone who watches her mouth and pretends life's fuzzy without the darker moments! I'm not that girl! I am Bubbly and optimistic with realism. THATS what you get! So, I try to be MYSELF in the videos! Me being anything less and dimming myself down to make others more comfortable while i conform to what others feel i should do holds me in a box I dont agree with. I dont judge people or value based on their verbage. This day and age, I believe it's important to be our authentic selves so people don't see a fake version of something. We have so much of that out in the world already. I don't want to contribute to it.
Plus, and I say this all the time in the event anyone ever comes across me in the world. They will never be shocked at how I REALLY TALK because what you see is what you get! If I never cuss in my content or speak how you see here putting on a front for the camera. I don't want you walking away from our encounter thinking * WOW, she's nothing like that on camera! *
And, to be fair on my about page I let people know my content might not be for everyone! That's OK! I completely understand and respect people's views even if they dont aline with mine! There are a ton of other content creators in this niche to help! I wish everyone the best and appreciate them stopping by!
Take care
@@thediystruggle Yesterday was my first time watching your videos and I must tell you I had the time of my life we roll exactly the same way I do in life you made me laugh and enjoy watching you work on the projects. I was working in my craft room just me and my dog and I said to myself I love this girl she is so funny and talented and best of all I can tell she is a kind and free spirited gal. I cannot agree with you more in your comment about you throwing in a couple self therapy words as I refer to them (😂😂) I call them my frequent flyer words😂 keeping life real is so important to our OWN WELL BEING♥️ I will be watching more of you and I loved your response reply to the self therapy words you were very kind and respectful and honest. Never change girl live your best life and always stay you🙂 this is how I choose to live my life especially as I get older. Looking forward to watching more as a new viewer. ✌️🖌️🎨
Right on girl
@marleenfriedrich7483 I appreciate you!!! I get it's not for everyone and I don't run around dropping f bombs in my content. I mean... I could, but I just try to speak NATURALLY. ....LOL
Girl, you do you!! If the language offends someone, perhaps they can wear headphones or wait until the kids go to bed. I mean wtf? Ha, jk!!
I just love listening to your one-sided conversations as you work. You keep me interested in what you're doing, and I get a few snickers and giggles listening. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and creativity. ❤️🙂🤣
I am so happy to hear that KC, thank you so much for hanging out today!
Learned several things: don't cut the napkin, how to paint on glass, the fan brush technique, and using saran wrap. Thanks for all those tips! Love the sound effects (glass breaking LOL) and your face memes in the corners!!! 😆🤪
LOL Thanks Kathleen!
Brandi, I received a message in the comments that said I won a prize and to respond back to you through "telegram". I am suspicious of this message because I received the same message in the comments section from another CZcams crafter. Just thought you should know in case someone is impersonating you.

Ok
Hi, I've been decoupaging since the 1970s. I began decoupaging on glass about nine years ago. I use paper napkins, and I also use laces and beading and all kinds of things. I'm also an artist so I hand paint a lot of my pieces. Glass is my favorite canvas. One thing I would like to share with you is that if you really want to save time on base coating your glassware instead of using two or three coats of chalk paint and having to sand it, use some Rust-Oleum spray either a matte finish or a primer that's white. I also use Rust-Oleum clear gloss sealer to spray them afterwards when they're all dried and ready to go. Sometimes I will use acrylic paint, but most of the time I use acrylic enamels. When I do base coat with acrylic if I'm going to put another color over it, I will use a sponge to dab the acrylic on with and then I take a very soft, dry makeup brush and slightly go over it and it's as smooth as can be. The rustoleum primer works especially well if you're going to cover the whole thing with a napkin or it works well if you just cover partially with napkins and then do a background color of paint with it. Best of lucj with your how to videos. One day, I will make some videos. 🥰
Thank you so much for all the wonderful information!! I have used some of these techniques before.. it's so nice to know it works for so many others as well!! Bless you my friend!! Take care!
Brandi, you have a great sense of humor and patience,. My first time watching you.
Nice to meet you Rose! Thank you so much for the sweet comment!
Stopped by for the crafting talent, stayed for the witty humor 😂❤️🙏
Thank you so much!
Brandi, thank you so much for this video. The reality of the amount of time and patience that goes into each decoupage piece is wonderful to see. I keep thinking there is something wrong with me because everything I create just takes forever. Love your honesty and your humor! Have a voluptuous day!!
It is important to wait the dry times when your creating pieces. And, for me this is ART! I stress this because it SHOULD take YOU TIME! You should wait the recommended drying because ALL of it is going to make your pieces last a long time and if you have people who purchase from you, YOU WANT to be confident in what you are selling to people. I show stuff fast because I HAVE TOO, now sometimes. especially, when I am doing large pieces or furniture it takes me days and hours returning to pieces. Nothing wrong with you at all!! This is another reason I love doing these tutorials because it allows me to cut through the fancy of watching a quick diy video to show nice new items. and get down to *THIS IS ALL THE BEHIND THE SCENES* While I still keep it very real and informational on fridays it still does not give me the ability to break it down like i care to in each and every video. Unfortunately, youtubes algorithm doesn't seem to push videos like this for me to grow, like they do my friday videos, so when I post a tutorial I only worry about it reaching my subscribers and helping them. I am not sure if that makes sense but I hope so..lol Oh, my I am rambling! You take your time and love every piece!
Brandi I think you were hacked, got a message that I won something and to send you a telegram
Thank you so much! I am so sorry! I am working on reporting the scammers now
Me too, friend. My husband is so patient with me 😅 I have whatever project just spread out over the area and he gives me a couple weeks before he requests I wrap it up 🥰 I take forEVER to do any project!!
Brandi, you are the best. I love that you tell it the way it is and you answer people's rude comments before they write them. GOOD for you, but I'm sorry you have to deal with rude comments. Love ya girl, you are so talented I really learn a lot from you. SO...thank you!!!
I appreciate that Sandie! It deff comes with the territory I think of just being in the public eye. Luckily last year I had a short hit over 200k views and almost every comments was rude...lol It did so well because people did not care for it like I did..lol and they had no problem telling me about it! over a 1000 rude comments I grew pretty thick skin after that..lol
Thank you. The extra steps make all the difference. Beautiful!!💜🐇. Love the bunny.
Absolutely loved this. Can’t wait to try this. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us.👏🏾👏🏾👸🏽👸🏽💜💜

You are so welcome Bridget! Thank you!
I love the way you mod podge. I was taught to put the napkin down and apply the decopodge over it and i have alot of wrinkle sometimes that cant be smoothed out so I'm glad I happened upon your app.TY
I’m not sure what I like best about your videos, all the information you give us to put out a great project, or just sitting back and listening to you talk. Never the less I can always count on you for a beautiful project, and good laugh. Thanks for sharing all your talents.
You have no idea how much joy this message brought me!!! Thank you so much!
Thanks Brandy I’ve not try to decoupage glass yet but I never made a ladder until I tried thank you I love watching your videos
I hope when you do decoupage glass it turns out beautiful!

I really loved how you demonstrated decoupaging the napkins on glass! I have never done the glasses before and looking forward to giving this a try. Thank you so much for the lesson and sharing it! ❤❤
Awesome instructions and INFO!!!!
Wonderful... Love your vibrance while teaching ❤
You are hilarious! I will visit this crafting youtube channel again!! LOL!! Thanks for sharing your talents.
Thanks for the tips, very informative!! Great job on the vases, beautiful !!
Very helpful tips- thank you.
Loved both techniques. Learned quite a bit, especially using chalk instead of acrylic paint. Never thought about the fan brush for the edges. Have a couple of glass vases I can use techniques on. Thank you!
Great tips! I "cut" napkins by dripping water where I would cut with scissors and using the end if a small paint brush to separate. It seems to blend more naturally.
Loved this. Fun, down to earth, easy to follow and cost conscious. Will view more of your videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much char! I feel like I need to put this on a billboard, you described how I want to come across to everyone perfectly
I am
SO EXCITED to
Have found your channel!!! Thank you for sharing and going I depth! It helps so much! You’re wonderful and I LOVE your voice 🎉

I appreciate that! There are so many talented artists out here!
Brandi, this is by far THE most informative video on painting & decopouging (sp?) glass‼️ Especially the painting glass! Finally, a way to not have streaks. 😊 Well done girl‼️ Both of your pieces turned out stunning 🤩💙🤩 Thank you SO very much for taking the time to teach this❣️ It’s sincerely appreciated❣️😊💜 I’m looking forward to giving it a try. Thank you for sharing!!!
Aww I appreciate that so much Charmaine!! Thank you!
It looks so beautiful!
❤ these! Yes going to do all of them ❤
You do beautiful work, I love watching your videos.
I always enjoy hanging out with you and I generally learn a thing or 2.
sounds like winning to me!
I really liked the video and I really loved how both vases turned out ❤🤗☺
I am glad Bonnie! Thank you!
I am new to your channel, and enjoyed watching you do your glasses..NOW I LEARNED HOW! Thanks Bunches, be back...
love your sense of humor
Thanks so much Mr grinch!
TIP:Never cut the napkins unless the sharp edge look is what youre after, by tearing the edge it gives a more natural look,,,You can use a small paint brush with water, trace around the object you want to use, the water allows the paper to tear where you want it to and not rip into the picture
Yep this is a great point! I talked about this is previous videos and touch on it in my next video!! Thank you so much for the help Buckiann
I use deco podge before I paint.Especially if I'm using my paint pens on wood,it keeps them from bleeding into the grain. But the sponge effect is absolute,I use it on alot of my projects to keep from having to giving a second coat.
I love your humor and your pieces. I’m making diys for Mother’s Day and my mom loves more traditional pieces
I love your work.
Thanks Gloria
I agree with you on the sand paper. And I along with other peeps love who you are too! You are real and don't put on a fake show. BTW I cuss like a sailor too 🤪
They say the people who cuss the most are the most trust worthy..lol So i been told.. LEGENDS SAY..hahaha
@@thediystruggle I would totally agree with that!!
I learned a lot..thank you Brandi. The bunnys are the cutest!
I am so happy to hear that Susan!

Love them ❤❤
Damn. I jumped every time when the glass BREAKING sound.lmao. just love your videos! T U. U always crack me up.🌞
LOL. I am so happy I do, thanks for stopping by Debbie!
I really like using Saran Wrap on my decoupage projects. It’s amazing at getting the wrinkles out and doesn’t rip the napkin ❤
I only experience it ripping if i put to much mod podge in an area. Other than that it works really well!
Enjoying your voice over always. Great 💡 Watching til the end.
I don't know how I missed this video so happy I got to watch a old video on decoupage I just love decoupage I wish I could share you the ones I been making like I have said before and it was kafty Kathy that got me going and now you're channel you do a wonderful job.

I love this. I might just try a fine nail sponge. I think it might work well and even use the buffer in spots that I want to shine. I really need to try this.
Thank you for explaining every step. 😁
Omg you are definitely one of my favorites! Love love everything you do ! Keep these videos coming! Love from NY.
Yay! Thank you! Will do!!!
Great information! I learned from you that you don't cut the napkin. Before being a fan of yours, I cut the napkins, and it shows the cut lines. My projects look so much better now. Thank you for taking the time to do these tutorials. I appreciate you.
My pleasure! I love how the ripped napkins allow for nice blends with paints! I'm so glad this helped
Love this video and your personality!! First decoupage video I watched and so happy I did! Can't wait to teach the individuals I work with. They will love it. Thank you!

OMG! That bunny is so cute! And yes I was yelling that in my head while I typed!
I like your style. If id alter it a bit I can ,but i dont ever want to.I also love the way you explain things out it's so helpful.Just keep on being you.
I spent $136.00 and have no clue what happen...Lmao...Craft addiction is Real..😅
Hahaha
Get ready to do that....A LOT! Full on addict here. I'm gonna need a 12 step process at this point to prise my hands off new supplies! I went shopping this morning for last minute Christmas bits and bobs, and still bought more craft bits that I didn't need, but were too pretty to not pick up! I mean all the big ribbon reels were half price, so it would be rude to not grab those right!? I've got tons of paper (I've got tons of everything!) but there were two 12"x 12" pads I don't have, and they may not have those exact ones next time I go in the craft shop, so I had to grab those while I could! Burlap tape, chipboard embellishments, mini pine cones, colouring book, napkins, craft knives, patterned cellophane, beads, stickers.....🙄
Ooops! 😂
Who cares? It's fun! And we deserve to be happy and creative! 😜
Have a very Happy Christmas xxxxx 🎄👪🕯️🎅🛷☃️🎶💃
I get it. I got addicted to fabric and the fabric store. People actually thought I worked there.😂😂😂
I go into DT for one thing and literally end up getting 40 items 😂😂😂😂 lol
Yes it is 😅
😂😂😂 you are a joy to watch!! ❤
Thanks so much mandy
Thank you so much for this. I've been wanting to decoupage a bottle but never felt comfortable enough. Now I think I am better prepared for it. Very helpful tips. Thanks again...
