- We are a Mumbai based Biker couple (Kiran) and (Sachin). We have been riding since last 8 years and till date we have ridden for more than 3 lakh kms plus on our individual bikes. We have done all India ride on our individual bikes covering the stretch and breadth of our beautiful country and almost all the poles.

I have just 2 words for you both after watching this….effin amazing! Ignore all the comments about off-road training, knowledge and all that bull shit. Doesn’t matter. As long you are gritty you can do it and that’s what you were in this ride. Safe riding to the both of you.

I was looking for Umlingla route for my next year ride,so I came across two channels where the couples have done Umlingla on their individual bikes prior to you
1 channel " rider meenakshi bedanta"
They did in 2021
2 channel "biker girl rishika the doonite"
They did just a week before you.
Its okay if you are not "first couple on individual bikes " & you have enjoyed the experience.
Were they on 2 different motorcycles 🙂

There is one more way that is bit more easier, if you just keep following the poles and not take left that route is 9 KM more but there the off-roading is bit easy, not very steep.
Just we have to keep following the poles and that will bring us to the tarmac road from there take left.
We went umling la a day before you, and we met you a day before on the way to Karu if you remember.

Just a suggestion.. get off road training.. you guys will enjoy more .. even if its river crossings or sand.. & I think who ever travels by bike should have basic off road training.. nice vlog.. Enjoy

Congrats 👏....but always take a local guide if u r attempting umling la...we went thr on may 2022...
Local guide has been discontinued because few guides took few photographers during mid night to show stars and galaxies after that all the Hanle folks had meetings and they got instructions to stop local guides

Mi च air inflator घेऊ पण नये.. Worst product.. आहे.. Waste of money 2500 rs.. लवकरच battery drain होवून जाते.. 2 tyre मध्ये ते पन motor cycle च

What an adventure! And hats off to Sachin for doing Umling La without rear brakes! The video was very well made guys! I could feel the height, the slopes, the sand and the mud as if I was there! It is difficult to get the slope properly on a GoPro but somehow on this video you guys got it done! I am not sure if I want to go where you guys went! Be safe, have fun, enjoy the ride and the adventure! My heartbeat was up when I was watching the video!

That's true ...even if we would have done the river crossing it was freezing cold and getting drenched in the river and later getting ill was not a great idea at all ....there is a thin line between dangerous and adventurous 🙂

Congratulations for conquering Uming La. The tyre pressure always raises to ~46 odd psi after running. Mind you that's at sea level. Normally pressure should decrease in high altitudes. In your case the pressure is too high. It is always better to use a stand-alone device to check the tyre pressure. We cannot fully rely on the tyre inflator. I use a Michelin product. BTW it is always better to check cold tyre pressure. Drive safe & Enjoy.
