Random implies impulsive. He was thinking about doing destructive things with various people since he got out. His neighbors paint a really bad picture of him. Inner city cops often don't even investigate anything other than attempted murder or murder. Breaking an entering is ignored unless someone is seriously hurt. This allows the hate to build unchecked.

Rich, white, female, an heir to a hardware store magnate, a prominent family. They lost one of their own to crime. Most victims are black and poor and nobody gives a damn about them. The rich want to know if they are safe and this is how the FBI is telling the rich the chances of this happening to them are slim,-- the attack was not planned and not targeting the rich in the way the FBI knows the rich are targeted in other countries. They would have to label this crime a terrorist attack if it was planned and premeditated and that would kick off a war on terror in America, which already has its own homegrown terrorist groups, they would be the first suspects of a crackdown...this would be the same as firing the first shot. That is how thin the line between two political opposing forces in the States is drawn. Incidentally, impulsive does not mean random, arbitrary is the meaning of random. I hope you learned something here for the next time you buy a lotto ticket that purchase is impulsive but the winning numbers are randomly picked.

This case came up on my news feed the same day it happened. The next one under this one was of an African American woman that was from my own neighborhood that's been missing for over a week.

She was abducted two stops lights from my house. I live just on the other side of the campus in a nice area of town. A few weeks ago we had another abduction attempt, so it’s happening more and more. Is he the guy from the weeks prior? Maybe or maybe not. My thoughts are with the family and friends.

This guy went to prison and was driving a very nice vehicle doing well. I don't think racism played a part in this however as an H vac installer installer I go to all different neighborhoods and there is disparities in Memphis.

Same here in Memphis, the difference with this case is that her family are billionaires and related to a judge, so many missing girls here in Memphis and they sure don’t move as quick as they did with this case, don’t get me wrong , I think they did the right thing for Eliza but it should be that way for every missing person.

Random to me is someone who doesn’t have a history of anything like this. Child or not being sentenced 24 year for kidnapping is no joke. We need to stop letting dangerous predators out because they commit the crime when they are under age or because they get lucky and don’t kill the victim. This wasn’t random this is what happens when you let someone like that out of prison without any actual rehabilitation or monitoring.

He was sentenced to 24 years at just 16. He did 20 years in prison so he spent more years of his life in prison than free. If he wasn't a monster before, he definitely was after getting out. People like this do not fear prison as they are more comfortable there than in society. Many like him have no issues returning to the only life they know. I doubt he was waiting in this specific area for a random person to attack. Likely his family will be receiving payments from the husband for years to come.
