- Strength training for women, featuring my sister who has finished up playing rugby this year.
This is an example of a simple strength session and a good option for people who follow a 2 Day, whole body split.
Here’s how it could progress:
Week 1: As the video
Week 2: 5 x 5 (plus set on the end again, add 2.5kg from week one if you got 8-10 reps on the plus set in week 1)
Week 3: 3 x 5 (try with 85% or 2.5kg increase from Week 2 if you got 7 reps or more on the plus set)
Week 4: 5 x 3 (aim for 87.5% or 2.5kg increase from Week 3)
Week 5: Take a deload and hit 3 x 5 at 70% (include pauses if it’ super easy).
