  • In this video I breath some life back into a Ford Fiesta that was destined for the crusher! Purchased from the insurance auction for a paltry £180 inc. fees and in a real sorry state it would almost surely have been broken for parts had I not bought it.

On the topic of ‘caveman tools’, I had the misfortune of having to be pulled out of a flooded road, and the only available attachment point was the trunk latch. So of course the rest of my vacation, I couldn’t store anything in the trunk (lid wouldn’t stay closed), thankfully I was staying with family. Back home, one shop wanted about 600 to take apart the whole trunk end, fix the bend, and repaint. The shop I sought a second opinion and ended up using (and one of the most honest in the area) only wanted 50 bucks and they just had to put a 4x4 beam between the back end and a structural post, and carefully back the car up a bit. Fixed it all up perfectly!

Glad you kept at it with the steam cleaner on the seats, As I can remember using a public car vac that also did shampoo, and when I was using a cheap steam cleaner, even a year later, the steam would still bring out the shampoo. You could see the dirt rising above the shampoo. One thing that's kept this year bearable is a few of my favourite music producers/DJ's have been doing a lot of live streams on Facebook and Twitch, and I watch them religously, my two Faves are Beardyman and DJ Marky, but you have the live comments, and you see the same people, and it's so nice chatting to them, like your part of a big musical family, and when the DJ's give you a shout out, it's sucha nice feeling, I knw (for me at least), there's going to be some good tunes released in 2021. But also I've enjoyed subscribing and watching your videos and pleased you are able to provide regular content. Initially I felt total dread .
But got talking to neighbours that I used to think were knobs haha .
Actually nice folk . I got covid early on . Didn't need to go to hospital thank god .
First lockdown was ok . We all pretty much had good weather which helped .
Hardest bit , not seeing my 3 grandkids .
    Love em t bits .
I have learnt a lot about myself . That I'm ok spending time on my own .
My partner polly works in the NHS so been a mad year for her .
Oh in October we moved house too .
Loving our new home . By the river Avon in Worcestershire .
Love it here . We've had floods 4 times . House is safe quite high up from the river .
Our doggos love it here too .
    I've rediscovered photography.
I've room to muck about with my 06 Touareg it's spotless .
Thanks for the videos and useful info on keeping the old girl clean .
Life can only get better for all of us can't it .
Keep up the good work with the vids . Great entertainment.
Moose is a great looking doggo .
    Cheers .

Thanks to lockdown we’ve been getting to know our neighbors more and more! We’ve been friends with the ones either side of us since we moved in but now with everyone taking in the fresh air close to home we’ve been able to meet people who may have otherwise been at work (now working from home). This in turn means we’ve met more kiddos for ours to play with when the plague finally calms down. A small bright side to a very bleak 2020.

So excited to see you clean one of these fiesta's, I had one as my first car (2004 ) but the 1.25 finesse, I had it 18 months and it was great did some good mileage in it ( as you can imagine ) and it never put a foot wrong just needed the usual service and consumables, they also drive great through a twisty it was so much fun, good job on bringing this one back to life basic car that drives great ( less to go wrong ! )

That is after years of clawing back from my work+accident back in 2011 where I ended up in a wheelchair. Not in a wheelchair after 2 surgeries and 2020 was a great year. Been working, making money and enjoying life with my family.

Using this pandemic as a learning experience for my kids. Still go out into this world but be safe and do things that the pandemic changed like, going out to eat with out door seating on what once was busy streets, drive in movies in the parking lots of restaurants, hike a mountain while everyone else was staying home. Learn a new hobby. Get a pen pal. Life is what you make of it. Some day you will need to get through other difficult times in the future and you will look back and know how to get through it!!

This will be a nice little car for someone now that it's been transformed (I'm guessing the mechanicals are all in good shape). Congrats on your new home.
