Well, the radiation aspect really gives it a good ol creepiness vibe to a otherwise rather tame mine. Thanks, as always, for the entertainment!
Missed you guys, haven't seen you for a while, glad to see yall, hope all is well!😊
Well that was something different! I liked it!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Good evening from Southeast South Dakota
Shango66 Sir, you should do some plugs for this channel in your more recent videos. I found this by accident, while viewing one of your videos from 2018 (1956 Zenith 17X20 black-and-white television resurrection.) I am sure that your other viewers on your tv repairs channel would come and subscribe, just because the channel features the famous Shango66! Your repair videos are excellent and your sense of humour is top level. My interests, other than electronics, include anything underground so I am sure I will be happy here. Chris, UK.
I’m guessing they avoided dumping outside to understate the level of production visible to overhead eyes. Also the rinkydink nature of the mine might be because I they needed that yellow stuff in a hurry.
Safe Journey!
CHOLULA!!!
BAKED.
Finally you‘ve got a counter with you
A gneiss I have in my garden of decorative rocks would pollute your counter.
THAT WAS RADON GAS, YALL DUN GOOFED
0:09 I got the “Lotta Love” reference, nice! Is this cave where all the nicotine gum came from? 😀
A lovely place too mine in wow.
That last read of the Geiger of 180+ was after all the dust was visibly stirred up. Yikes 😬
by WEF section you must mean Mischief Gang.
Any info on what this mine had in to give it this radioactivity? Might be an idea to wear a dust mask somewhere like this! Thanks for the video - fascinating to see.
Probably uranium and it's secondary minerals based upon the colors in the rock. And yes, should have been wearing p100 respirators.
@@nefariumxxx Defintely uranium. That yellow ore he put in the bag was some high-grade stuff!
I like my baked potatoes with sour cream and bacon bits. Thank you!
My Uncle Ray had Uranium Copper Gold Silver Mines in Death Valley CA and with only a WWII Dosimeter and no Geiger Counter he said the trick to handling Hot Ore was to work Quick and to handle the Hot Ore as little as possible, sadly uncle Ray died of Cancer Everywhere. Radio Active Radon Gas collects in Low Spots like Winze Bottoms and Sumps. Radon is Heavier than Air and won't vent on its own. Take an Atlantic Kelp Supplement for a couple months and Drink Bentonite Clay Water Daily to Flush Radiation from your Body.
the info I could find on that meter is it registers in urem micro rems so convert to micro sieverts the 183, is 1.83 or having an arm x-ray
Fortunately it was reading a lot of beta activity too. So, most of that being counted was not the more spooky gamma.
@@christophero1969 The levels here are not that high. It's not Chernobyl. For a day exploring, the dose wouldn't be that much. The airborne dust IS a concern though (for alpha contamination), as you mentioned. A mask or dust respirator cartridge would have been prudent. It would have been useful if they had a handheld ionization chamber (cutie pie) with them, to be aware of alpha radiation, but the meter they had gave them some general idea, at least for beta and gamma radiation.
Fukashima Diablo mine
“ Ready to Dominate a Sperm Sample “ 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣☢️
Missed the roto tweebler antics
Great, just Great.... One of my Favorite CZcamsrs gets Nuked..... L-O-L !! Some amazing colors down there.
Of all the places NOT to wear a mask... Where do I send the flowers?
Ionization will effect RF energy.
Hey, we need to see face behind this. All this years and still no face
There are plenty of videos and photos of Dan, even on his own channel. The focus is on mine exploring and vintage electronics. If he doesn't like being in the videos, so be it.
That was a Chinese spy balloon
Radio is Derived from the word Radioactive, yes your Broadcasting your Carrier Wave over the Exposed Radioactive Ore Body. Alpha passes through you while Gamma stays inside you.
Other way around. Gamma and neutron radiation go through you. Alpha emitters are the hazard here, particularly when they're inhaled. They bombard adjacent tissues in the lungs. People often think that alpha emitters are relatively harmless, because you can stop alpha particles with a sheet of paper, but when in particulate form, or a water soluble form, they're actually more of a health hazard than mild beta or gamma emitters, because they get inside the body. The dust is the risk in this mine.
Radioactive Planetary, Planetary Radioactive. Oh wait thats intergalactic my bad
please don t do this agin
For sure, bring a black light with you next time. A lot of that radioactive rock will glow with black light. I have a little bit of uranium glass I've collected. Love how it glows!
