Excellent tutorial, Lee! I recently acquired Altair Astro's Ha/Oiii & Sii/Oiii 4nm set! And this is something that I was searching for! I have some follow up questions for you.
    1. Will the DBXtract script work on the Altair filters as well? Even though they have a tighter bandwidth?
    2. Do you take calibration frames for your quadband filter as well? (darks, flats, bias?)
    3. Is it not easier to run WBPP with everything so it auto aligns it for you, rather than running it individually and re-aligning the image using staralignment and cropping? Or is your way better? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
    4. What does the localhistogramequalization do exactly?
    5. Will you consider doing a separate walkthrough on GHS?
A lot of gear and equipment I purchased were after your recommendations on your website and I absolutely love your images, reviews and articles!
    Apologies for so many questions.
    and thank you very much!

      Thanks for the comment!
      1. Yes, DBXtract will work with your filters.
      2. Yes, I take Flats and also use Bias.
      3. I run WBPP separately because I don’t want every subframe, regardless of filter used, to be combined into one image during WBPP.
      4. It’s effective at boosting contrast.
      5. Nah, others have made tutorials about GHS that are better than I could make!

@@UrbanAstrophotographyYou can run WBPP so it spits out separate master lights for each filter. As long as you use one reference image for all, they will be aligned. I have done this with the Altair Sii/Oiii and the Antlia ALP-T. I assume it is simple to add the broadband star files into the mix and you will get a 3rd master light, just make sure you have all your FITS headers matching for each set and you load as custom files. Thank you for the video. This is something I am interested in. I also want to find a straightforward way to add hydrogen from my Ha/Oiii filter to broadband galaxy data (OSC of course). Everything I have seen refers to mono imaging.

@@sarahjanereilly9335 Thanks for the tip! As for assing Ha from a Ha/OIII filter to OSC data, you might find some tips on processing videos for The Flaming Star Nebula and The Ghost of Cassiopeia. Also, I did exactly what you describe for an image of The Pinwheel Galaxy, but I didn't make a video about it. urbanastrophotography.com/index.php/2023/06/22/the-pinwheel-galaxy/
