The rewards not necessarily being getting the deer, elk, or pig, but just doing it, and putting your feet back on the ground and trying to understand the shifting patterns/problems involved in a hunt in an effort to get the prey. Also the photography and locations are great! Keep it Steve!

I’ve binge watched all these episodes never hunted in my life, besides using a BB gun to shoot squirrels. But this show makes me want to go out be vulnerable and just go out and hunt. Definitely bucket listed.

I have smoked Jackrabbit in my fridge right now. I added some of it to my scalloped potatoes and it was really good.

If this place is "crawling" with pigs, the reason, why the deer are so scarce, might be, that the pigs are eating the fawns.

That was my exact that as well, don't even have to eat the fawns, just their presence could pressure the dear into leaving the area.

It's more likely that they are just competition in general. Pigs are bullies, they will eat anything and everything and are completely out of control in the southern US.
