I have the unit 01 and I love it! Can't wait to get this one. The unit 1 makes for one amazing display pice and is a terrific figure at an incredible price!

I have the Threezero Unit 01 and Unit 02. Both are amazing. I'm glad I missed out on the Metal Build versions. I think Threezero's look better anyway. Especially because they're straight from the anime.
I think the Metal Build version is also great, just that they are a bit more expensive, and the threezero is much more affordable. Especially if you like the anime design, then more the reason to get the threezero.
I cannot wait for Eva Unit 02 to arrive. Eva Unit 01 was fantastic and very well built. Excellent review!!

Thanks for the review! I like that the color scheme is closer to the anime, and the metal weighting of the legs seems interesting. I wish it came with alternative head or something, because the eyes look very dark to me as if it was in deactivated mode. Cool figure!
Haha, or try to recolor just the eye would be the easiest.
I don't know why my notifications not working and need to Late for 4 days seeing this, i never Evangelion fans because of the edgy story and the robot is too looks pretty alive but i can said this pretty detailed🤔
Haha, don't over analyze the story and just enjoy it but this piece is really great and price is very affordable for its size.

I think the overall production is 100 times better than the Bandai MB version, tbh, I didn't really care about the eyes gimmick on the Bandai Ver and rather prefer the functioning entry plug gimmick since the entry plug is rather iconic. It cheaper, more diecast parts, the size, and the iconic gimmick, it really put the overpriced and overhyped Bandai Ver into shame. That been said, I do hope mine doesn't come with defect condition as I am a sucker for Evangelion.
I totally agree if you factor in the cost then definitely threezero easily wins bandai.
But there is one aspect which so far Bandai does better which is the upper arm can be twisted into desired angle where the threezero relies heavily in the shoulder joints as it cannot twisted at the upper arm so quite limited in that.
@@KaizerChannel That has to come down to the design's fault, while Bandai MB ver is heavily "mecha" design, the Robo Dou is anime/ova accurate. And here isn't a simline on the biceps for the upper arm rotation from the original design to begin with. The same goes for the Robot spirits version where it heavily relies on the shoulder and elbow for upper arm rotation. So it all comes down to, do you want an anime/ova accurate but certain articulation gonna sacrifices or a heavily redesign version ?? Personally, I will rather go for the anime/ova design.
That's true, in the end all of us just want to display it as accurate to anime as possible.
