- Following my 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special build series - in this video I install a new Drag Specialties Predator 3 2-Up seat for my tushy.
What I was looking for when I purchased this seat was a seat that wouldn't push my legs out like the current seat did and a seat which would keep me locked into place when I push the bike hard.
I also didn't want a seat that didn't match the look of the bike, which is how I landed on purchasing the Drag Specialties Predator 3 2-Up Seat.
Now there are 3 versions of this seat, one of which is the one that I got which has silver thread. Here are their part numbers:
Double diamond with black thread: 0801-1304
Double diamond with silver thread: 0801-1305
Double diamond, with red thread: 0801-1306
Here is the part number for the matching double diamond with silver thread seat pad: 0822-0429
*In this video I mention that you will need to make a custom bracket for the seat pad, but apparently I ordered the wrong seat pad.

Nice seat and I am the same way with a wide seat. I like the seat to run with the lines of the bike. I put a Lepera bare bones on my Softail Standard a few years ago and used a pillion seat for the wife. I recently went with a Saddlemen step up and totally love it. It just keeps you in place when you crack the throttle and really makes you feel like you have control over the bike.
Hoping again to get blessed. Unboxing makes me laugh when you thrown the installation instruction.😂

Does it bring you more forward? Does it lower you? These are important questions for me as I am a 5'2" female. I think it looks awesome, and I am looking for the perfect 2 up for someone my height and reach.
From the seat I originally had - the Drag Specialties seat pulled me back a little and lowered me about an inch. It really flows with the curves of the frame.
The more comfty the better.

That’s a bad ass looking seat!! Does it bring you further back and down in the bike more?! I’ve heard the saddleman seat that looks like this one actually pushes you forward. And how does this one do on long rides?

It's great for short riders. It lowered my seating position about 2" inches. I love the seat and it's comfy enough for me, but it's definitely no "road sofa" 😅

The seat isn’t gel, and there’s a backseat option. I share the part numbers in another video. 😬🤘🏼
How tall is your windshield
Hey there. I know it's an older video, but I'm wondering about your sissy bat pad. I ordered the 'corrected' part number of the DS sissy bar pad for my hogworkz bar (with the 3 bolt pattern). The 3 holes are close, but the bottom 2 are spaced wrong by about 1/4" on each hole. Hogworkz pretty much said "not our product, not our problem", DragSpecialties pretty much said "should fit 3-bolt mounts, sorry".
Was this something you ran into at all?
Nope; and I'm going to assume it's on the Hogworkz side and not the Drag Specialties side because lots of my subscribers have purchased that same pad and it works flawlessly with the Harley-Davidson one. I'm sorry you're having to go through this with them. 😕

Do you sit lower and have more leg reach to ground?
Hows comfort compared to stock
It's a much slimmer profile so you feel more in "control" of the bike. It does sit you lower to the ground.
It's comfy enough for me and comfier than stock in my opinion, but there are a lot more comfortable seats out there.
This seat is more for the looks and sleekness of it. But I wouldn't classify it as "comfy". 😅🤘🏼

Hey brother, no he didn't because I found a matching seat pad that uses the factory triangle bracket. All the part numbers for it are in my latest video about the seat pad. 🤘🏼

I have the same seat. I bought the matching backrest pad # 08220429. It uses the stock 3 hole OEM hardware. You may have been sent the wrong pad. No need for a custom bracket
