Hi Painting Friends! This video is an acrylic painting tutorial to paint a cute black kitten. I used acrylic paints on a 12x16" canvas. Enjoy!

Thanks for joining me today! I am a professional fine artist from Pittsburgh, PA with a focus on contemporary realism landscape painting. I have been painting since 2002! This is a wonderful video of a very cute black kitten. Why is it at 25:11 in the video that the painting doesn't look like the finished painting at 25:19? (25:19 the fur looks more shiny and smoother). Thank you.

Hi Allie - that is from the glare of light on wet paint at 25:11. It's tricky to paint and get that perfect camera angle that shows the brush work and no glare of light.

(I thought so, but I never have seen this kind of result from a glare before. Silly me had to ask). Btw, I just found your channel recently and wonder how in the world I haven't found you sooner! I thought 'no way' when I watched one of your videos because in my opinion, you are one of the best teachers on CZcams. I don't know why I haven't found you before now.
