- www.ikmultimedia.com/iloudmtm - iLoud MTM studio monitors are fast gaining ground in major and mobile studios alike. With unbeatable portability, extended range and built-in acoustic self-calibration via the included ARC™ reference microphone, it's no surprise they're being put to work around the world in all sorts of spaces.
With credits ranging from Fleetwood Mac, Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat to films like Solo: A Star Wars Story, Blade Runner 2049 and Mulan, GRAMMY-nominated Producer and Mixing Engineer Marc Daniel Nelson relies on and chooses iLoud MTM Studio Monitors for mixing when he's traveling.
We spoke with Marc about why he loves the iLoud MTMs and here’s what he had to say:
Usually, it takes me a week or so to learn speakers. Within the first evening, I totally felt comfortable on them and every move I decided to make seemed well approached. Some speakers, you start boosting stuff in certain areas. It didn't need any burn-in time. It's just been really fun, which is my entire motto. Be fun. Have fun. Make music!

I clicked into this video because of Marc Daniel - love the insights he gives on Produce Like A Pro channel
I have the original ilouds - the smaller ones a few years now, and I can honestly say out of all the speakers I've owned these tiny little things are the best speakers for monitoring I've ever owned. I've been curios to upgrade to the MTM's but honestly my room is quite small and these things just work for me, and I'm happy. I'll probably get the mtms just out of sheer curiosity, because I never expected such a small 'computer' looking speaker to be so engaging, the ilouds have truly shocked me !
@hazybrian7 so you mix and master with the iloud mtms
@@jeulahr I think he's saying he uses the iloud Micro's for mixing and mastering
@@jeulahrhe was using the micros
Master's word!!!!!
I love my MTM's in my mobile home :)
marc daniel one of the best
Are these rooms actually untreated or are they just pretty good out of sheer luck? Everything I've read and seen leads me to believe that no monitor sounds great in a bad room and that treating your room comes first and finetuning for that reference-sound with room-correction-software comes last (and is not meant to do any heavy-lifting).
Please make amplitude app to work on all android I want to use it .
Is the -11db function usable ? I am planning on getting the iloud mtm but at night i was thinking of utilizing the -11db function not to bother my neighbors.
I generally looking for an active speaker that basically muting bass option which this is closest thing to that ive seen so far .
If it is usable how bad or good are they while in that mode ?
These looks interesting
Peace , hey what mic you using in this video
he needs studio monitors that he can transport in a suitcase on the plane - but where did he transport the hardware visible in the video in his pocket?
A friend recommended me this = Warren Huart.
