      I did view all your painting videos and took down the names of the musicians. I love the idea of painting to music...so energizing. I'm going to try some abstracts and see if I have it in me to improvise with paint....I'm so into getting paintings just right, with realism. I sometimes work them to death!!!!

    Fantastic Painting in every way! I like your idea of using many brushes when painting. What type of brushes are you using? Where is a good place to purchase brushes where the hairs won't come out of one's painting? Thank you.

      Rhonda Pawlan, thank you. I use natural bristle brushes. Most natural bristle brushes have some bristles that fall out. You might want to try good quality nylon bristle brushes.

      Brenda Robinson I use paint in jars, so whatever is left on the palette goes back into the jars so I don't waste any paint.

      Good idea.....I still have mostly tubes so that never crossed my mind.....I just smear it around on another canvas or it dries up. thank you.

    Hello sir so i recently started abstract painting, i don't plan what i'm gonna paint i just let the colors run on their own so i gotta ask do i have to plan what i'm gonna paint or just let it be ?

    • @davidm.kesslerfineart1717
      @davidm.kesslerfineart1717  Před 6 lety +1

      Ang el the only thing I plan is my color palette for each painting. This assures that I will have some harmony between the colors in the painting. Pre-planning a painting is a personal choice - do whatever works best for you.

    Hi David, Just discovered your work and I'm officially a fan!! Absolutely beautiful. I've never really ventured into the world of painting, I'm a draftswoman and tend to stick with charcoal, but I want to give it a go.. I was just wondering if you are you using oil paints? If so, what are you squirting onto the canvas? As I didn't think you could mix water with oil paints... Would be great to hear back from you! Many thanks, Eleanor :)

    • @davidm.kesslerfineart1717
      @davidm.kesslerfineart1717  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Eleanor, thank you for your kind comments! I use acrylic paint, so I am spraying water on the canvas to thin the paint as apply an underpainting. You should give painting a try - you may just fall in love with it!
