Jacob R. Doty The C8 is an 8 Speed Dual Clutch but the 10 Speed isn’t actually a dual clutch it’s an automatic while dual clutch transmissions are like a mix between a manual and an auto but it doesn’t use a torque converter like automatics it’s uses 2 clutches and the benefit is the dual clutch is faster than any transmission there is which is why Porsche, McLaren, Lamborghini and pretty much every supercar brand uses them but yeah just thought I’d give a little info and Great Video🔥

Shifting of the 10-speed transmission is facilitated by six clutches, engaging and disengaging in (dual-clutch) pairings. To prevent any decrease in efficiency, shifts do not require unlocking of the torque converter.

Yeah the ride quality is very true, I drove daily for 13 years combined a 94GT a 94 Cobra and then a 13GT and now in a 17GT manual even performance pack and it still rides less harsh than all the older ones and it is so nice that I would never ever go back.
I really enjoy your videos. I am a truck driver and I drive all lower 48. I just got a 19 Mustang Bullitt. Shadow black. They only come with six speed manual. Save the sticks.
I was in the same club...the S550 series hater. But I have grown to like them. It is a more refined Mustang for the times. I still love my 2014 S197 series.

The mag ride in the gt500 is nuts... Comfort is ridiculously comfy, sport is stiff and track is back breaking. Loved the trans. Now I just gotta get my hands on an allocation.

I guess it's up the person much a car is worth...we all know cars can range from 10 thousand to 500 even millions..is it worth it...all up to you...there are places were a 100 grand will get you a home or even more...but if you got the money and wanna buy a 6 figure car or even a million you do what makes you happy...no one that actually has that type of money will ever say the wouldn't do it...only people that don't will.
I did the same with my son in my modified 2010 GT 500 break them in early. He loves it also !

Dude I am a Ford guy all the way to the bone, I bleed blue, but NO mustang is worth 100k.
why? so a Camaro can be over 60 thousand, corvette can be over 70 a Dodge challenger (hellcat and demon that only are good on the 1/4 mile on a prep service) can be over 90,00 but not a mustang? if you tell me a mustang GT cost that I will be you are crazy, but we are talking about the Shelby GT 500 a classic car that will be a collection car in the future.
NO car that is mass produced on an assembly line is worth that kind of money. If I am going to spend that amount of money it would be a hand built, fitted, custom vehicle. Car and truck prices are getting completely out of hand. It’s getting to the point that you may have to start choosing between a nice vehicle or a house payment. In 1967 a loaded Shelby Gt500 was about 7 Grand, now the car costs about 80 to 90 Grand that’s about 11 to 12 time difference. And you talk about collectible status...unless you take that expensive vehicle and lock it away and never really enjoy it AND keep it that way for 20 or 30 years you won’t see a return on your investment. Also you can’t compare the original to the new one, the original GT 500 is a true American classic. On the same train of thought, firearms are another poor investment engine that people think are wise. The only true firearms that ARE collectible investments are things like the original Colt peacemaker, original M-16, and the sort. But people are funny and they will rationalize purchasing something buy saying to themselves that it’s collectible, or an investment, when in reality they really can’t afford it. The really best investment is real estate, not a product. But real estate is boring, not fun, can’t show it off, or impress girls at the club with it.
@@armedprophet3321 the mustang Shelby is half and half the body is assembly line but the engine is handmade that is why the signature in each engine of the person who put it together and like I say the demon and hellcat are assembly lines and they cost 90 thousand and up so why no one says that? I know why because is fast in a straight line and apparently that is all that it matters...not how good drive...no how beautiful is...no how comfortable is or if is a low production car that will hold the value...also because it says ford and mustang people Think need to be cheap.

1CBRDUDE So lemme get this straight... a GT500, that runs 10.6 on the quarter mile, can keep pace with high end porches and cars on that tier, and that make more HP than it’s distant cousin, the Ford GT... yeah, $65K, that’s all it’s worth. Bro you’d pay $300K for a slower, less modern, lower tier, BASE MODEL Lamborghini and say it was a steal.
1CBRDUDE It’s not just fast, it’s also extremely modern, with a carbon fibre composite. DCT 7 speed transmission that’s found is Porsche... ya know the cars that average over $100k. HP numbers are higher than super cars now. It’s got modes for comfort and can be a daily. And to mark it at $65K, is beyond retarded. It’s at super car levels of performance and is an all rounder car.
