    Good morning
    Excellent content, you explained it very well. I recently got a new job as a bookkeeper and I was hoping you'd be able to shed some light on a particular scenario with an attorney, they want us to pay them a total amount broken down in 5 monthly installments beginning on October 15, and the final payment will be on Feb 15 2022. So we need to send them 5 checks due on the 15th of each month. We are cash base business, how would you recommend that I record those payments. All we have is an agreement with them, they are not sending us an invoice per se. it would be nice to capture how much they quoted us and capture each payment that we issue to them against that total amount due. Should I record it as an expense and simply cut a check, or should I create a separate bill for each monthly installment payment? Or do I make 1 bill with a due date of Feb 15 2022, and make partial payments every 15th of ea month?
    I hope this makes sense, please let me know if otherwise. I'm looking forward to knowing what your thoughts are.

    Thank you 😊

    when I input bill, it does show me negative amount. But when I input expense, it doesn't show me negative amount. How do I know if it's match to check number with expense? I want to input the previous expense amount that's already have been paid. should it showed me it's negative amount? I'm lost here. =(

    How to enter a credit card bill given by the bank? I tried entering a bill and choosing the credit card in the Category details table... yes, the CC balance was reduced, but I had an issue when reconciling the card because the payment date (from the bill) is different from the actual.

    do you recommend desktop or online version? I don't know which I need or which is better. I heard the online version does not allow you to print checks, is that true?

      In general if you want the ability to login from anywhere I would get Online. Yes you can print checks from Online. There are some things desktop does better but for most small businesses Online works just fine

    How do you enter salary manually without subscription

    • @QbuniversityOrg

      Are you trying to run a payroll without a subscription or does an outside payroll company do it and you are just entering what they did?

      @@njoroge2061 right, I understand but is it being run by a 3rd party payroll provider like ADP or Paychex?

      @njoroge2061 Před 2 lety +1

      @@QbuniversityOrg No i saw a video where one can run manually instead of subscription though it involves some steps, can one create a salary expense account.

    • @QbuniversityOrg
      @QbuniversityOrg  Před 2 lety +1

      @@njoroge2061 yeah you can. I would not recommend it because there are so many due dates and penalties involved that can cost you far more than a subscrption to payroll. Explaining the whole process is a lot more complicated than I could possibly explain in this reply.
