    Thanks for the video I will be doing the same thing in my 77 c20 along with the steering components. I bought all new control arms and steering components instead of having to deal with it the way you done I’m lazy .

    Thanks for the tutorial!

    It's definitely nice on these kinds of projects to be constructing instead of deconstructing and fixing damage and rust.

    I just got my motor back from the machine shop today for my 72 c10. Now I need to clear out my shop so I can pull the cab and bed and clean and paint the frame like you did. You're making some good progress!

    Next time just lift the upper control arm up and use the impact... the shims are usually different thicknesses... Napa has those control arms already assembled with new ball joints and bushings complete for $115... for lower and $85 for top. cheaper than buying individual parts...

    • @JoesBusBarn
      @JoesBusBarn  Před 4 lety

      hey Jody. thank you for the info on control arms at NAPA. I am going to be working on an 85 square body in the near future. I will look into buying them instead of going through all this cleaning and painting. as for the impact.control arm bushings made it stiffen up. didn't want to pry it with pry bar so we wouldn't scratch up the paint. but yes. its would have been easier with the impact appreciate the comment brother. thank you
