Infineon TriCore TC1766 data transfer on 1K0907115AP ecu for a 2011 Golf GTI, unedited

Original ecu was sent to another company for repair and considered unrepairable. Customer sent us the ecu and it was dead on arrival. We transfered the data onto a donor ecu to extract data.
Removal went fine.
When I went to install the chip onto the donor, my qtip nudged the chip out of alignment. I decided to heat what little solder was left to help the chip stay aligned during soldering.
That worked well but somehow bent the end pin I was fighting with the last 20 minutes. Using solder braid to distribute solder probably wasn’t the best tactic but it worked. The pins are so small the tip of the iron doesn’t stay hot consistently. You can see the tip sticking every so often.
I ended up using a razor blade scoot the pin outward and pulled the end pad when doing so. Eventually since we were just using this board as a quick donor to pull the data, I just eventually made sure they weren’t touching and sent it.
Everything read fine.
