That's a beautiful train. But, where does it get the water from, where is the tender?

The locomotive carries its water in a water tank mounted either side of the boiler, instead of a tender. It has a bunker, behind the engineer and fireman, to hold coal.

Converted to coal when modified into the Thomas scheme.

What's a "British" locomotive doing pulling an American train? Lol

Yeah, I know, originally built in Pennsylvania, but still, the reconstruction deliberately made it look like Thomas of Sodor, which is a fictional British isle.

So "Thomas" here looks rather odd pulling late 19th century clerestory spice. 🤣

Modeled after a WWI Joffre class 0-6-0T. Named after Joseph Joffre (Marshal Joseph Jacques Césaire Joffre, 1852-1931), the Joffre class of 70 locomotives was a French Decauville design built by Kerr, Stuart & Co. of Stoke-on-Trent, England under contract for use on the trench supply light railways of the western front during the Great War 1914-1918. Six of the class are known to have survived, one in Africa and five re-imported into the UK.
