Thanks for sharing your adventure with us all. I just started riding and getting into Bickpacking. I just bought a Surly Bridge Club and started to get it all setup with bags.
I do enjoy your videos, they started coming up when I was working in Nottingham, and I used to go out exploring the area on my bike, I enjoy your camping videos, always camped when cycle touring, but when the pandemic started I took up wild camping, but had to give up a year ago, due to arthritis in my knees, unfortunately struggle to get up off the ground from a bivy or my jack wolfskin one man tent. I watch a lot of CZcams but don't always comment on every video I watch, but like to see videos that give me new areas to visit.
Back again, you are right James. I am in my 70 s. I did a lot of wild camping, plus had an old bus and camped in it all over America years ago. And people think its a new thing. đ đđđđđ
Tow paths are ok when not too many walkers or dogs are on them. I always slow right down, and I have a bell, but walkers with dogs are a nightmare. They just don't get them under close control and even when I am going slowly, or even walking, the dogs go for me.
@@Solitarycycling well, donÂŽt do it anymore and stop complaining about, unless you enjoy making these videos because you like to go out in your bike and film your trips... besides, is too early for you to start complaining because you have not enough support, you have only 622 suscribers for f*ck sake!. Hello James. Keep up the good work. Its been a few years since i have been up to Langley Mill. Good to see it again .Nice to see someone out in the rain, as long as you have waterproof gear its not a problem. I very often cycle along the Derwent river trail and very often just down stream of the sewage works near Alvaston/Spondon there is nearly always a very strong smell of Human urine coming from the river for nearly a mile down stream of the plant, even smelt it weeks after any heavy rain fall,so not due to excess water.

Just keep things light hearted mate, informative and fun, and film everything. So much of what you would consider to be random shots, even half a second, make good B-Roll footage. It`s the gravy to the meat and 2 veg... There are many tutorials out there about algorithm optimisation, such as keywords, links, tags, engaging thumbnails, Title verbage and so on. But no amount of optimisation will compensate for unengaging content. If you look at the really successful CZcams channels, light hearted and informative seems to be the way to go, and definitely do not come across as whiney. You don`t need to keep to broadcast schedules, but you could post the odd short in between main videos to keep interest in the channel bubbling..
