Roots of Patcha is SOO underrated omg- I remember there was a ton of hype around it and it died out of no where :(

A few hours after posting this video I found out that Sprout Valley used an asset pack to make their game that you can buy off of itch.io. There’s several other games online and on steam that use the same pack and the games vary a little in gameplay but are basically the same at the core. I find this really disappointing especially because sprout valley is like a $15 game? I will admit i don’t understand the game dev side of things, but using an asset pack and not at least commissioning your own art so it doesn’t confuse the consumer when they see a game called “Cute Farmer Life” and it looks exactly like Sprout Valley…. hahaha rant over but this whole thing really upset me and i had no idea about this when I made this video!!!!!!!
Roots of pacha, fae farm, and winds of anthos are my favorites this year!

You’re really making me want to try roots of Pacha! I just played my first game with farming Harvestella! Although I would say it was more heavy on the action RPG elements. But now I’m excited to try more farming games!
oooo i played some of the demo for Harvestella back when it came out! I want to check that game out again! If you try Roots of Pacha I hope you’ll like it!!!

I agree that Fae Farm was way more mining focused. They should have called it Fae Mines. My fave farm sims this year were Moonstone Island and Coral Island. I guess I like islands hehe

I remember playing A Wonderful Life on the GameCube. I devoted so much time trying to get all the hybrid plants.

A note on Palia, from my perspective as an MMO girl turned farming/life sim girl: if you’ve never played an MMO, you might be frustrated by some game elements. But if you give it a try, since it’s free, you may find that you really like it.

I’ve felt the same way about Paleo Pines, I was so excited to play, and when I started playing I found it extremely difficult to understand and complete the quests… 😢

I really want to check out coral island and sun haven. I felt underwhelmed by story of seasons and I didn’t even play it, but watching Payton play it made me realize it wasn’t for me. I think I’m going to wait on coral island, just because I don’t trust how the switch port will work out. I really love the video!

I love how someone finally loves SoS AWL as much as do! I do agree it's A tier! But because of my deep nostalgia for it, it's S for me 😂 I cant wait to play Roots of Pacha!

ACNH remains timeless and unconditional which lasts over time, there are always so many possibilities and imagination. I remained mixed about the future of Palia it's very grind since the update they lowered the drop rate and the selling cost so that we stay longer in the game but it takes so many hours of farming. despite the housing is so advanced and has a beautiful old style. I love fae farm, very exciting, the only complaint is that the days are too short, I don't like to rush. coral island is not bad. DD valley remains very popular but very dependent on the connection for piscou objects don't miss the dreamsnap competitions to scratch moonstones and the way of stars the prenuim store we are too dependent which is what I like least. the rest is nice for the decoration of the biomes.
I completely forgot about Homestead Arcana! I also wasn’t a fan of Homestead Arcana and I didn’t really like Sprout Valley either and I was super shocked when I saw it was pre-bought assets and charging that much!
Lol yeah I tried Homestead Arcana wondering why no one was talking about it and then i was like ohhhhhh… haha and I CANNOT believe that about Sprout Valley I am so disappointed lol
I love coral island so much, i cant stop playing it. I havent tried other farming games cause, I know i may sound ignorant 😅 but most of them (graphically) looks very 90s game, i mean because they're pixelated
When I first got back to gaming I felt that way about pixel games too! But I definitely changed my mind and I loveeee pixel art games now! But I definitely understand how the art style can make a big difference for some people!!!! I’m so glad you are enjoying coral island! It’s nice to be enamored by just 1 game for a good while!!!
I was honestly so disappointed in Fae Farm, but that led me to Roots of Pacha which was exactly what i was looking for
Yeah I ended up finishing the main story of Fae Farm, and then trying the DLC but the DLC was not interesting to me at all. Roots of Pacha is perfect and significantly better! There’s a lot i didn’t do in Fae Farm because I hyperfixated on the mining lol

I do love coral island a lot. But i play without sound because i feel like the sound isn't where it should be. There's literally no fighting noises at all ... I listen to podcasts and music while playing it.
I know what you mean! It goes in and out when you’re walking around town too and sometimes it’s just silent haha.
On the xbxs coral island is a C/D for the glitches and I can't go in the museum without it crashing. I got up to 50 donations but it crashes when I go in the museum now. It also crashes randomly when I look at the map and I also heard in the winter it steals all your items if you participate in the winter event so I'm waiting till they fix it. The game is fun and beautiful but unplayable for me right now. I heard it's only a XS problem.

I'm halfway through year 5 of A Wonderful Life and struggling because there's nothing to do 😅 I'm almost thinking of skipping through a lot of days to get closer to the end lol. That sounds bad but Idk what else to do!
IM IN THE SAME BOAT. I have like the rest of the in-game year to play and then i’ll be at the end of the game and it’s just taking foreeevvverr sadly! haha I still enjoyed the game a ton tho ☺️
@@mintendogamingYes same, I still really like it! I wish they added more end game goals to make the last 2 years more interesting otherwise you kinda feel like you've done it all.
@@chronicallychic Definitely!!! I really hope they continue remakes but add in a little more story and feel ok with changing things up. I feel like they added a lot more with FOMT bc of diff animals and new NPCs and so forth? But in this game we could have had a little more added imo
Cornucopia wasn't mention in this and is an overlooked game thanks to Stardew Valley.. Cornucopia is so worth a look. 🥰
Thanks for mentioning it! Has it left early access yet? I’ve only played a little bit of it and I didn’t include early access games in this video just because sometimes the games aren’t totally polished yet and I wanted to make sure it would have been a fair review 😊
Sadly it is still in early access but has come far from where it started. I love the game and hooked on playing it, even streaming it on Twitch but I noticed that hardly any videos are done on youtube about it since release and it's very sad to see. @@mintendogaming

Oh yes there will be. My favorite part of the game currently is breeding the farm animals. The crazy combinations of colors/patterns along with sometimes ending up with different style of bodies on the cows and let's not forget about the rare two headed chicken. It really makes the game interesting as far as farm animals go. I have been working on trying to figure out what the best combos are to get the most unique outcomes. So far I have read that the breeding nuts also effect the outcomes of the babies and not just the difference between each parent. I am trying to put it to the test and write out the outcomes just so I can make a video about it in the future.@@mintendogaming
I disagree that Palia is a mmo, first the term was made by Richard Gariot in 1997, which means by his definition is Massive Multiplayer Online is 100’s or even 1000’s of players playing simultaneously together. While Palia may have 100’s playing they are not simultaneously playing together but broken up in channels. It would be same as calling Fortnite a mmo. With this criticism I do enjoy Palia and excited for switch on dec 14.
