- These are pretty cool bikes. Always wanted one and had found over the years they're very hard to come by. It's a pretty clean one runs pretty good I've been sitting in storage for a while so the car bowl started leaking and that will need to be addressed. Other than that pretty good shape.
Loved to go down to Ascot in So. Cal. In the late 60s early 70s and watch the Montessas race. Such beautiful bikes!
😁
Thank you for keeping and displaying this jewel of a Spanish motorcycle. Greetings from Spain.
Hi I owned one of those for years, red frame VF ,it was converted to a six speed when it was new. That really made the bike, power was like a light switch ,you needed to hang on .it was a hell of a ride . regards from. Australia
they are great bikes
I've had a few 414's over the years, both ve and vf. Great bikes that gave me no grief at all.
And that's how you start them (or any big bore for that matter). Top dead centre and then a decent kick, instead of flayling away at the kicker...👍
They are great bikes. Also, I agree with what you said about starting
Sharp looking Spanish Montesa like the quality Bultacos from the 70’s great dirt bikes .
In Spain we saw few of these beautiful bikes, instead we used to ride 250cc. The 414 was just a dream for my generation.
Sucker looks good. I had a 360 Cappra way back in '81 and that was a wheelie popping roosting trench digging monster that made you feel very alive when you ripped on it.
Montesa, Ossa and Bultaco were some of the better dirt bikes back in the day.
Back in the day I rode my husky 250 with my buddies, one rode a rickman montesa , his dad rode a bultaco 250 and Dale had an ossa stiletto 250 ! Oh yea Rick had a AJS 370 😎😎🍺🍺🍺
I've had one of these. The memory of first time riding this beast still gives me goosebumps. Of all the bikes that I've owned selling this one is my greatest mistake. I rode it for years, but I heard that the guys I sold it to, destroyed the bike within a few days.
It's a fantastic bike
Good sound!
That seat is trippy. Such a cool vintage bike !
Yes it's an unusual shape.
Montesa and Laverda, two iconic bikes
Thanks for the feedback regarding the 85 Can Am 560 Sonic.
Very rare when new because dealers were far and few between......nice video, thanks for sharing.
Yes they were. Glad you enjoy the videos
Omg!!! A Montesa on the show!!!
Wow!!! What a moment...and a 414!!! Not an H6 360..a 414!!!
Time for a Bultaco!!!💙🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
I do have a 74 bultaco listed if you search the videos
@@kingdebary yes!! I will thank you!!
Yes roll the BANDIDO out or a mk 15.... : ) 🐦 🐦 🐦
Orgulloso estoy yo yb
Nice bike. My father used to have some of this beautiful bikes when I was a child here in Spain. Bultaco, Montesa, Ossa...
@aaron mar The factory run into economic problems, probably due to a lack of adaptation of the industry new standars. Legendary brand.
I had a chance to ride one in my late teens. It ripped and was pretty comfortable to ride. Thanks for jogging an old and fond memory!
I owned this same model. Was definitely a beast. A little much for the tight technical trails of hare scrambles in district 5 north east. Was never a big fan of the four-speed, but I guess it would be OK on a motocross track. Rode it until I bought a new 81 husky 250 XC. Cannot say the Husky was so much better, But can sure testify it was better suited for what I was using it for
They are great bikes
My neighbor has a Montesa 360 and it still is a beast!
love the 300 tooth sprocket on the rear.. lol
Beautiful machine you have sounds awesome take care of that classic bike of yours back in the day I had a bultaco wished I never got read of it if I only new back then what I no today take care keep the great videos up thanks again
Thank you, if you search my channel there is a video of a bultaco I had a while back
what an amazing sound for my ears!!!
I rode a Cappra in 1980, but I never owned one.
Saludos desde España.
Great looking bike! Haven’t seen one of those in years.
Sweet music to my ears , thanks for the video 😊
Glad you enjoy them
Beautiful machine
thanks!
Celle de 1979 comme celle-ci est sublime...
Owned and raced Pro on one in Houston TX. I hated the mix of colors so mine was painted yellow on the airbox and fork lowers. The 414 wouldn't rev and you couldn't keep shocks on it with the increased leverage. This was my last Tessie, they just couldn't keep up in the tech race.
It brings a lot of good memories to my mind, during my childhood in my parents country house every body had a Montesa H6 or some kind of Cota like the 348 or the 247.
Good stuff mate keep digging them up and running them they all had a sound of their own 🙂👍
I had Montesa Capra 414.
A bike with a lot of nerve
Greetings from Basque Country
Looks very similar to a Maico
Nice bike!

Viva Montesa !!!

Nice! I Owned a 73 250VR. Loved it.
Thanks
Beautiful original bike. I've seen pictures, didnt know if they really existed
What a Beauty ! Absolutely like Time Travel Seeing it So Perfect... Like them all Thank you esp. for starting them, and letting us hear our cherished memories come to life !
nice start
Another great video Sir, music to my ears ! I raced CZ, both 250 and Open class in the late 70z and that model Montesa, is a new one to me, very cool. Always looking forward to what bring out next, thank you. SARGE

Thanks
Montesa's Spanish Power
BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!!!!! That looks and sounds AMAZING!!!
I still watch this ALOT!!!
Those were the days of the simple two stroke with no power valves or water cooling. You could just ride with out much maintenance. Beginning stages of advanced suspension.
Ive never seen one..now I have!! Super cool!
I've owned three VE 414's and a two VF 414's over the years in Australia. Raced the VF for a few years and it was a good, easy to ride bike, that won me a lot of races. Sadly I moved all of them on to a collector but they will be on display in a Museam, for all to see, which is better than them sitting under sheets in my shed.
That is one of the best examples I've seen of a VE in a very long time and sounds brilliant. So many of them get messed with and end up looking nothing like original and I reckon the VE is the toughest looking MX'er ever. Don't ever part with it, you'll be kicking yourself!
I do have a u Tube video of mine doing some laps of Broadford Motocross track in Australia. And yes, the only way to start them is to get to TDC and give it a good boot!
great bikes!
That’s a rare bird for sure thanks for sharing again
Awesome looking bike and sounds great. Thanks for the video.
glad you enjoyed it
Nice. I’ve got a couple Cota’s 370(?) in my shed. Here is UK the damp is a real killer.

Thats nice usually only see 250 enduro building a Pursang 175 but gave up looking for parts looking to buy a Pursang now a mark 6 if can or a Astro if stock markets crash
Great bike. I had an OSSA stiletto It was fun. Yours looks like it has an IV hooked up to it for that carb problem lol.
No carb problem, just easier to use the remote bottle to start it from time to time instead of having to drained the tank each time
414cc 2 Stroke
MONTESA, OSSA, BULTACO...MOTOS ESPAÑOLAS LEGENDARIAS!!!
Montesa capra 414 ❤❤❤
@@user-ie3op7hi5v they are very cool bikes
That bike looks SICK!
No ... really.
It still had an IV hooked up.
Bonita moto y buen sonido.
Yo tengo una h6 360 en proceso de restauración.
wow cool bike with a REAL seat! Comfort Zone!
That kick start is the same size as the gear leaver
Paleto, Cataluña no existe.
Here Italy....very amazing my friend!!
Gary Wells jumped a Montesa (over cars) Early in his daredevil career.
I didn't know that
I had to say it thats what it reminded me of.
A best machinne !
One of my favorites
You've been busy Heaps of goodies will do that

Bet that’s very torque
That is an amazing bike and build!!!! Where the heck do you find these gems???
Thanks! I've collected many of these bikes over the last 20 + years
For some reason it reminds me of a Yamaha yz alittle but I think the muffler is on the other side.
Looks sweet. Were those good bikes back in the day? I've never seen a Montesa.
yes they were good bikes
