Build is hard to execute and even if you are experienced in venom gyre and fast levelling it might still feel bad.

Ever since Spectral Helix nerf I've been looking at ways to level up Venom Gyre. Tried Helix, tried bows, tried Poison Concoction. Turns out the answer was much simpler: Just use Venom Gyre to level!
Levelling setups:
lvl 1-12 - bows
lvl 12-20 - poison concoction
lvl 20-maps - venom gyre
Bows:
Caustic Arrow + Mirage Archer + Pierce (if you got g-g-g)
Shrapnel Ballista + Pierce (if not in caustic)
Poison Concoction:
Poison Concoction - LMP - Onslaught (can swap in volley instead for more dmg on bosses if u want)
Level 20 Venom Gyre: (Also see 'When to swap' section below!)
Venom Gyre - LMP - Onslaught - Trinity
Replace onslaught with added cold or Fork or WED when you get Silver flask or Graceful Assault node
Replace LMP with Fork or added cold when you get 3rd lab (Endless Munitions, +2 proj)
When to swap:
- Don't actualy swap at level 20 if you are not ready, you'll do zero damage and poison concoction is still OP at that point.
- You need to have at least Ambidexterity Node + %60 Increased damage while wielding two different weapon types
- You ALSO need 2 different weapons, a claw and a dagger. At the minimum one of those should have some actual good elemental damage rolls.
- DO NOT SWAP if you don't have proper weapons. Just stay with Poison Concoction until you find alchs/essences/weapons.
Important notes:
- To get good damage it's best to have at least 4 flat damage lightning crafts. You should get those on rings, amulet and gloves. Craft can be found after killing Piety in Act3 Lunaris Temple 2. (This is A LOT of transmutes, don't waste them on other stuff and sell items unidentified when possible!)
- To get at least some resists it's very useful to have resist suffix on quicksilver flask. Use your level 4 flask, put a transmute around a5-6 and then spam alterations until you get +resist on it. It's very very common if you use your lvl4 flask!
Important notes on weapons:
- You need 1 claw & 1dagger for the levelling build to function at all! (you can swap to 2x claws in maps). Put claws & daggers in your filter and make sure you're constantly looking for upgrades.
- Save most alch/essences to try to craft good weapons if you don't find them on the ground.
There are 2 important breakpoints for crafting elemental damage weapons:
- level 19 - Don't craft any weapons below item level 19 (need for good flat ele damage roll, tier8).
- level 43 - If you get good weapons in act2 - save your alchs/essences for level43 when you can get very good weapons (this is The Chamber of Innocence zone, you can get tier 5 roll but also you get better chances for tier6 and tier7).
- I suggest you don't craft flat damage on your weapons early on because it's very expensive (4 transmutes each) and transmutes are very precious early on! You can maybe craft attack speed (6 alts) when you get the recipe (act4)
How to progress after this ?
Watch KobeBlackMamba's videos from 3 months ago, he has many videos & PoBs for maps and endgame. You can wait until level 80 or 85 to swap to crit, or you can swap earlier (75 is the earliest I'll suggest but most importantly you need claw with crit + all crit nodes on tree)
If you watch the video you'll see that I'm actually super underlevelled. In an actual league start don't do that. Also don't leave alchs behind, they are precious!

Read the description for this video for more info on when to swap from pconc to venom gyre. Ideally you should watch the video and take notes about what to do when because it's a lot of small things.
I think with the league mechanic this is gonna be even better since we'll probably have super OP weapons

One was linked to cast when damage taken and onslaught (rip).
It was just so if I get hit you can proc Molten Shell + tornado + onslaught which are all great.

Not really, I only wanted to share this idea I've been working on for early VG swap. I don't have anything interesting for other classes.

Yeah, this is why I was looking for ways to make it work. We still use some pconc until a3 here but no big swaps which is the cool part.
So what mapping content is this build good for day 1-3? And do you think crucible will be done easily? I assume crucible mobs will have the strength of expedition mobs or even metamorph or old Essence mobs. So yeah, do you think doing the jumperino tech will do it?
This should be good for all content besides bossing but you need to swap to crit and generally improve gear. It can do t16s with minimal investment
damn you're fast, it takes me about 45-50 min per act
If you're looking for tips the biggest thing for me is to never stop moving, when possible. Stopping to figure out what to level up or how to swap in your gear/gems can take a lot of time. So you have 2 common ways to reduce that:
- Know your build/gems beforehand. Know your exact way around the skill tree, what gems you're gonnna use when, how much currency they cost and where to buy them. Prepare a bit and try to remind yourself before coming back to town what you'll do in town.
- Think of your gear before changing it. A lot of times it's not worth it to try and fit an upgrade. For example I will find an upgrade but when I try swapping it in I find that I don't have the required gem slots anymore and I'm out of chromes, I don't have resists or int/strength anymore and it's all fucked. I was better off just not using this new upgraded piece of gear at all because it lost me too much time. During levelling the most important thing is to just get through the acts. Unless the gear is a huge upgrade or it fits your gem colors perfectly it might not be worth to swap.
Anyway, just my 2 cents if you're looking for tips. Cheers!

Great. Great time. Question: Where did the onslaught come from after 3:13:50? You have dropped the nodes, there is no support for the onslaught.
Flask on 4 and also linked onslaught to tornado which was linked to cast when damage taken

frostblink is OP with leapslam
Frostblink is generally better than dash, at least in my experience. Longer dash distance feels much better and cooldown is still good when there are rares/uniques around.

Yes, it's still good. The lightning mastery removed will hurt us a bit but we get 1 extra projectile instead so it's even better imo.

Is this still viable? Arent't like half of the masteries you picked gone and what about the pconc change does it affect it at early lvls?
Don't take lightning mastery and take the projectile instead. Kobe picked this build up and will release a tree soon I think, you can see the updated version on his channel.
Pconc will be worse early but it will still be strong.
Would you say sub 4 hour requires a lot of practice with a build?
I recently started doing act 5 runs, so far i just quit after a3, in like 1:30.
I would say it requires both a lot of practice and a very good build (unless your name is TyTy or Havoc or ImExile).
I can barely do 4 hours with some of the builds I've practiced. If the build isn't very zoomy or OP it might be next to impossible to get under 4 hours for most people.
For most people and builds 4 hours and 30 minutes is a great benchmark and even 5 hours is quick enough. People lose much more time in maps anyway.
@@Alkyen 4:30 is pretty much all i want, doesn't really have to be any faster than that. I feel like it's doable within a month of practice
Might want to think of something other than the poison Concoc to level much harder to sustain now since patch notes.
You are fine. You'll run out of charges but damage is still great even with 0 charges used
How can i find your item filter? Congrats for video, very helpful and newbie friendly.
My filter isn't very optimized and I don't plan to optimize it. It's basically a combination of one of TyTy's filters (mostly the currency sounds) and also I'm highlightning specific items. I'll try to export it in a few hours and also give tips what exactly I've changed so you can customize your own.
So this is my filter, that is based on TyTy's melee levelling filter.

You might want to make up your own because this one has many things not cleaned up.
Otherwise the changes that I think are important and that I added on top of TyTy's filter are:
- Show all rare claws & daggers, with a sound and icon
- Maybe show magic claws & daggers early game (I put up to level45 but realistically I mostly use rares from level 30 onwards)
- Show normal claws & daggers between level 19 and 71. This is to use these bases for crafting with essences or alchemys when needed and when you have them. I mostly get good rare claws/daggers from the ground but if you have essences you can try your luck crafting with a few of the better bases. For claws mostly it's high attack speed (1.5 or more) and life on hit.
- Show rare bows & quivers with a sound, up to level 10. This is because you might get a good bow/quiver to save some time on brutus. This is not really important, you might skip it because you rarely drop a good bow/quiver that early.
- Show normal & magic bows & quivers up to level 10. Same as above, not really important. You might get a bit better bow than starting one to save some time on brutus.
- Show all heavy belts, two-stone rings, lapis amulets up until level 30. This is to get good res and str/intelligence which you'll need for some of your gems.
- Show all life pots up to level 63. This is mostly important for PConc but it is also useful later to keep you healthy as we are quite squishy.

I think it's fine to use pconc until act 3 4. Pconc nerf is much more pronounced after you get big potions and gmp and greater volley at the end of act4. I've used pconc with very small potions, it's still op damage early.
Hi. Does this build play with aurabot? My friend and I want to start a new league together and are looking for a build that's good to start and good in a stack with auras.
hey sorry, I'm haven't played with an aurabot. The damage is not that insane for a 2player party IMO but it can scale to a build that can utilize an aurabot (either KB deadeye or TS deadeye, both require high investment to make them work well)
Why do you use base elemental damage on your items? How does it convert to chaos?

@@Zeratursa Зависи кое има превид, че са нерфнали. Poison Concoction е nerf-нат, това е скил дето хвърляш пойзън фласкове и ти ползва чарджове от тях. Той е нърфнат, особено mid-late game където преди се ползваха много projectiles. За целта на показания билд тук няма да има кой знае каква драма според мен, планирам пак с poison concoction да левелвам до act 3 и после да сменя на venom gyre.
Иначе по въпроса ти, мелетата няма много лесни И много силни билдове за по-нови играчи мисля. Мога да ти препоръчам boneshatter като скил който може да скейлне до redmaps, но изисква да знаеш как да го билднеш. До сега какъв опит имаш, ако ме ориентираш? Стигал ли си до maps? Ако да - бил ли си exarch/eater с някакъв билд?

Нямам опит, нов съм , харесвам мелетата много и нямам амбиции да съм мега бърз и топ , просто да хвана билд който ще е забавен и ще има шанс за ендгейм прогрес( С времето ). Иначе сега вдигам точно този вид герой и съм много доволен, не знам нагоре как се справя с маповете и босовете за които говориш ти.
It seems like you massively rely on lightning damage early on, as the lightning damage nodes have moved would you still path to those over everything else
I wouldn't path to lightning mastery no, they removed the strong node so there is no point. But we will get good dmg from +1 projectile cluster instead!

How about using two claw from the beginning? you will get 10% more attack speed from mastery in 3.21.
Yeah, I'm conflicted. I still think the %60 increased dmg while wearing 2 different types of weapons is too big to pass, at least very early on it's huge dps boost. But I usually dual wield claws in late campaign or early maps and then it's worth it for sure.
What would you use instead of onslaught now?
added cold damage/trinity/elemental damage with attacks are good dps gems.
Momentum might also be nice, we will see.

I'm betting it won't be nerfed at all. One can never be sure of course but I believe they have no reason to nerf. It's not that popular or overpowered

I tried one run to swap from poison concoction to poison venom gyre, it was really bad in my experience.
But the question is can it do voidstones without gear
I've done VG to 2 voidstones in 9hours in a practice run in SSF. It definitely can do all 4 but overall it's not a bossing build. Personally I'd probably get carries for 3th & 4th voidstone just so I get them quicker.

@@hardchaser you'll need to find a guide imo, there's a lot of stuff.
Just so I don't leave you hanging, for bows galvanic arrow + shrapnel ballista is good until act 5 and then swap to lightning arrow plus siege ballista. But it's a lot of stuff to go over and just the gems not sure will be helpful.
Best thing you can do is go to havoc's channel and find his runs with ranger. Maybe someone will make a guide for this patch, there are some good changes for bows

Leveling with this feels very very nice...but after campaign....not so much. I would not recommend this build at all.
Venom Gyre deadeye is one of the best builds in early mapping. Check my previous video where I get level 80 in under 6 hours doing white and yellow maps in ssf start from 0.
3.35 hours, my average act playtime is 13 hours ;_;
It's okay, I'm from EU so league starts 11pm for me. I'll only play like 4 hours and then go to sleep :D If you are from US you'll probably be ahead of me by the time I wake up!
Joking aside, if you practice levelling a few times and focus on going fast with a good build you should be able to do the campaign in 7-8 hours the most IMO. Most people lose time when they:
- haven't practiced
- don't know the build well so lose time looking where to buy gems
- spend too much time swapping gear because they found 'upgrades'.
If you learn your skill tree and your gems and focus on only going fast you should see immense improvements very quickly!

PConC into VG would be better.
This is pconc into VG around act3. Did you mean a later swap like lab2 or maps?
I can confirm I have tried it multiple times with different spots where to swap from pconc to VG. My best results so far have been with a swap like in this video, late act2 early act3. The others are also not that bad but you move faster and have a better transition out of pconc if you do it earlier rather than later.
@@Alkyen Yes i meant do the swap much later, because early map gives a hit to you when you play VG instead of PConC, everything you need to scale PConC better is a life flask, and VG to push it further to early white-yellow, you need to upgrade your weapon which is much harder to obtain
@@phusonhuynh9912 You are correct and this is just an alternative way to do it. Your damage is worse here and you need to constantly look for weapon upgrades, both for a claw and a dagger. However the upside is that you move faster with whirling blades and don't have to respec as much. Your gear & gems stay the same which helps you with progression. Also when you go to maps with pconc you might get a hard time swapping because it's so many things you have to consider: new gear sockets, new gems, many respecs out of poison to elemental damage & crit. This all might lead you to build feeling worse right after the swap.
Again, this is just an alternative way I like to do. Going pconc to maps is still a good option!
This gameplay was so spastic, it made it impossible to follow along as a new player.
Yeah, sorry, wasn't intended for new players. But you will have a very bad time as a new player playing this, it's better to choose another build.
