I bought this pedal a year ago and used it with three different pedal boards to go direct into PA at church-bass, electric guitar, and acoustic. Worked great on all three. The built in IRs are good but 3rd party IRs are easily used. The Iridium has since come out but for the money I’d go with the NuX. I’m surprised this pedal is not more widely known. I anticipate a more expanded version in the near future that will include EQ.

I read in a few places that it doesn't really work without a preamp before it. Your description of the signal chain doesn't seem to include a preamp. Thanks!

A few question please about using how you used this pedal:
    1. What Distortion/Over Drive were you using for the solo you played? (Sounded great)
    2. Was the Solo (& Pedal) through an amp or recorded direct to a mixer or DAW?
    3. Just curious what Harley Benton Tele Model that was and are those the stock Harley Benton Pickups?

    Hello Jonathan,
I'm new here. Congratulations for your playing so tasteful.
I have two questions about the product. English isn't my language so...
I plan to buy that pedal for my father to replace his amp which is become way too heavy for him.
Can we play only through this pedal an plug to a mix table in output for having amp sound?(xlr output).
2nd question, Can plug that pedal in front input of a tube amp? I have a Bugera 5watt. Can i expect having Vox, Fender sound and having tube response?
Thanks in avance ans sorry for my english

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  Před 3 lety

yes to both questions.. Just remember to set the output modes
The output modes gives you option to connect the MG30 either to a desk mixer or interface or to a amp.
And of course when you connect to an amp, make sure the cab sim is turned off.✌💚

@@mattgilbert7347 Hey mate, for a while I couldn't get any "good" sound out of it, just and OK-sound. but earlier this week i swapped out my mixer, and last night plugged it in without any pre amp, just my pedal board directly into the NUX. turned out pretty great, so i think the previous mixer was $#!+. tried it again with the pre amp, and must say i prefer it without..
      ---BUT---
in saying that, it's not a proper pre-amp. it's the JOYO American, which is an amp sim, not a pre-amp only. i reckon there's too much tone colouring before it gets to the NUX. both sound good on their own, but not together. I did order a cheap digital pre-amp from Ali-express that i will try for silent practicing (because i'm married...) but there's a delay in the shipping. would have loved to have it during our current lockdown.
I see in another post you have a VC30.. me too; that's why i need something I can turn down a bit...
