I did this installation on my 2018 1.5 Honda Accord 6 speed manual. After the installation I actually went immediately on a road trip. My Honda has no tune btw. I noticed no turbo lag, no stutter between shifts, the performance of the vehicle is not fucked. I also did not need any adapter that this gentleman said you need. It was a perfect fit and nothing is wrong with my vehicle after the long drive.
Do u have more info on how u put it on without adapter i wana do this to my 1.5t too
@@Xccord I just installed as it, i took out the old blow off valve and installed the new bigger hose and the of course the new blow off valve. i did a few test drives and good as gold. i unfortunately totaled my Accord, so i no longer have the 1.5t. i now have a 2023 subaru wrx.

@@joeestrada6946 hey man so unfortunately I ended up getting in a accident back in September with the Accord and it was totaled out. ended up buying a 2023 wrx in October and it’s been my daily since. as the 1.5t and 2.0t are different engines, i’m not sure of how to install, etc only knew more about the 1.5t.
The gold tape is used for heat deflection, and is used on the areas that have heat. The "cold" air intake does not need that. And the job on the inlet side is not close to being flush. Chunks of tape folds popping out everywhere. In the video you said take your time. I would redo that whole thing, and remove it from the intake and where that AEM badge proud

Do these Hondas just come with wastegates then? Is that why adding a blowoff valve helps reduce the antilag because the turbo is still being spooled up because wastegate isn't leaking exhaust gas from shooting through and spooling the hot turbo?
I have a 2.0t so im not sure if the installation would be the same. I imagine it is. Do you remember what size flange adapter is required?

The HKS iconic whistle, can’t hear it either, probably because of how he wanted to set it up, but as long as it functions good and well
The “iconic hks whistle” is the sound the bov makes when you install the whistle tip. Hks makes different tips that make different sounds. I installed one in my 89 supra, but liked the normal “woosh” sound better.
Lots of people here asking about if its bad. Not all cars will act the same, but If you vent to atmosphere without a tune it can harm the performance. Might feel like you have a boost leak... it might even stall out on you if you have a manual when you do a pull then come to a stop sign, again all cars are different but these cars came with a recirculating bov, so if you dont want to get a tune for the bov vent to atmosphere then keep it recirculating.

Just bought my accord 2.0t & looking to modify, but am new to honda scene. Idk how ktune stuff works but people say its simpler than custom dyno tune. I come from a land of supras & standalone ecu😁. Ya ktuner stage 2
Keep an eye and ear out for your power steering. The first time I installed mine, it pinched the line, and almost immediately sent a fault code. I ended up replacing the line with a different hose I cut to reroute it out of the way to give it clearance. That BOV adapter is key, to the install. I ran mine for a while, it sounded amazing but performance wise, it suffered. It was like having a big boost leak because of the vent to atmosphere.

@@ahmedwasir2223 yes, but there's a huge difference in the Quality and Fitment. Cheap adapters won't sit the bov right and will ultimately fail. I'm not running a bov right now but you can go to my IG and check out the sound clips @aces_kng

Don't do a ktuner if your Accord is a CVT. Not unless you have the CVT cooler. You'll destroy your trans.

it’s not for looks, gold wrapping helps keep it cooler faster after being so hot, cold air intake will do its job much more efficient with it on.

@@VEEIN so application being universal then there is the notes portion being ssqv4 adaptor flange, ssqv4 flange pipe, and so forth. Its in the proimporttuners website.
I’m newer to cars and stuff but how does a blow off valve work on cars without a turbo? I’ve seen stuff online saying it doesn’t work for on naturally aspirated engines, and with a cold air intake does that allow cars to get a blow off valve?
It does have a turbo
Blow off valves are for turbos they release pressure, if the car has no turbo, no blow of valve. You can get somewhat spool noises with a cold air
