A GCG-7 Gorilla Cart was provided to us by the manufacturer in October 2019. We had the agreement with them that we would review the cart honestly, and if there was anything that we felt should have been done differently or better, we would say so. The President of the company reached out to us and indicated that he welcomed our candid remarks.
To see the unboxing, assembly, and review we conducted of the GCG-7 Gorilla Cart®, visit Just How Good Are Gorilla Carts? at • Just How Good Are Gori... .
After 2 years, we still feel that with only a few very minor issues, the Gorilla Cart is a strong addition to our suite of yard care tools. It has held up well, all the while being used for a wide variety of tasks, including dense-heavy and high-volume light loads.
The pneumatic tires have held up well too. We keep them inflated to the correct level, and we put tire sealant ( the brand we used was “Slime”) in them. Additionally, while the cart is outside for extended periods of time, we keep it in the shade much of the time, and it is overwintered in our tractor barn. The reason? Plastic and sunshine don’t mix well. Plastic, as well as rubber tires, will degrade. Tires will “alligator”/crack, and plastic fades, becomes brittle, and eventually breaks. The plastic pull handle still is in good condition, as is the latch for tilting the bed.
The only minor repair we had to make is one of the retainer clips came off a tire. We were unable to find it in our yardscape, and we could have ordered a replacement from Gorilla Carts®, but it was just as easy to run down to our local farm supply store and find a washer and retainer that worked just fine. About a $3 repair.
To see some of the other carts Gorilla Carts® offers, visit gorillacarts.com/product-cate... They offer several load ratings, as well as both pneumatic and “no flat” tires, and they have carts with all-metal latches and pull handles for commercial settings. Parts are readily available should you need them.
We expect we’ll have this cart around for some time to come and remain as enthusiastic about it as when we first got it. It’s one of those things around here that make it easier to JUST DO IT YOURSELF.

Nice follow-up. We have a GOR10-16 that we bought in March 2020 and are very happy with it. We have have used it more than we though we would. It's a huge improvement over the typical 2-wheeled lawn tractor carts. Especially when it comes to the dump feature. We have loaded logs and large rocks in it with no problems other than the lawn tractor being a bit too small to haul that kind of weight up a hill. The only problem that I have with it is that the hitch tongue bends easily if the handle is dropped from a short distance. As long as it is set down softly when disconnected from the lawn tractor. It's not really an issue. Ours is garage-kept. Other than the usual wear, it has held up well so far.👍

Craig, thanks. Glad to hear that you've had a positive experience with this product. We are using the cart today as we haul out old fruit and trimmings from our orchard - it's a great assist. I appreciate the insights on the hitch tongue. Be sure to sub if you haven't already! We enjoy these types of conversations. Best, DFJ

Superb presentation in your videos. You have excellent speaking capabilities very clear very precise... Thank you for your videos. About a gorilla tent for five years and I love it. Venues for firewood for Big Rock loads soil etc shoveling in and out of it.
Been loaned out many times to friends who have not been nice to it.
I know they've been used it very heavily and still doing just fine. So everything that cases where that don't like it and say theirs is full of holes and stuff I think they're lying

I've had mine about a year and use it all the time. I mean it gets abused. Totally satisfied! It's so much better than a wheel barrow. I use it equally as much as my tractor front end loader.

I called Lowes and asked them to have the 4cf one ready and assembled for pick up. When I arrived, they couldn't find one assembled, so they gave me the 6cf one at no extra charge. Good deal

Pay the extra for the solid tires. I can't say that enough.
Mine doesn't sit in a shelter during the winter. I use mine for firewood. She ain no shelter princess. No probs yet.
I don't like the bottom of the bucket. Hard to mix soils and concrete with the exposed ribs.
    Other than that, it's great.

    • @DirtFarmerJay
      @DirtFarmerJay  Před rokem +1

Douglas - great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing your opinion and telling your fellow viewers why you've reached that conclusion. We've had a positive experience with the pneumatic tires by keeping them inflated properly, and storing the cart inside our equipment shed when it's not in use.
You have quite a way with works - love the phrase "she ain't no shelter princess!" I concur with the comment about the reinforcement ribs on the bottom of the tub. To get away from that, they'd have to put ribs on the back and leave the tub interior smooth - which sounds doable to me!
Thanks again for writing. Best, DFJ

Yes, definitely - they have a high weight rating. I have known people that use these to move around loads of paving brick. Assure the tires are adequately inflated and you are ready to go. I hope this helps! Best, DFJ
